Our first day shooting โ€˜Long Shadowsโ€™ with a fab cast and crew. Very grateful to @NIScreen for choosing the script to fund. Exciting times.

Since I first found him on Luxembourg, Steve Wright irritated the hell out of me when he sang over a lyric in a stupid voice. But Iโ€™d give anything to hear him sing over any song of his choosing right now. Absolutely devastated. #SteveWrightRIP

Could someone explain to me how @BBC @GaryLineker is suspended for political tweeting but @BBC Paddy McGuinness can appear on @bbcquestiontime ?

Iโ€™m so proud of @PamCameronDUP , so richly deserved and a fitting recognition for years of delivery for constituents and unwavering loyalty in the most trying times. Wishing her and Aisling every success.

A wonderful composer. His work will live on thankfully

John Tavener would have been 80 today. What a presence he was, both personally and musically. Warm, witty, impossible, as a friend he changed oneโ€™s life; and as a composer created a world of transcendent power and beauty. โ€˜My way towards God has been to write music.โ€™

Maggie Smith and Kenneth Williams read one of John Betjeman's poems (Death In Leamington) to Betjeman himself.
