#DidYouKnow There is a photo of me on the wall on the 3rd floor of Western Michigan University's Bill Brown Alumni Football Center. This photo was taken September 4th, 2015 when WMU football played against #5 ranked Michigan State at Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo. #EAT || #WMU – at Kalamazoo, MI
I wonder why NFL fans don't storm the field after huge wins like they do in college football. #NFL || #CollegeFootball
Lawson could become a real-world training environment for the next generation of professionals while addressing an actual community need. The Lawson Community Resource Center would be a very good experience driven learning opportunity for students in various disciplines.
Converting Lawson Ice Arena into a homeless shelter would serve the Kalamazoo community, as well as providing experience driven learning opportunities to WMU students in various disciplines. Experience driven learning is something WMU has focused a lot on in recent years.
Swimming isn't just a recreational activity. It's a life skill, a form of exercise, and potentially a lifesaving ability. Michigan's climate makes an indoor swimming facility particularly valuable. For much of the year, outdoor swimming isn't a realistic option.
I'll be honest, I don't follow WMU Hockey with great intensity like WMU Football. But I still know that this is hockey's last season on campus. So can someone please tell me: What will happen to Lawson Ice Arena and Gabel Natatatorium? What will happen to the custodians there?
I wish football played a 162 game season the way baseball does. It's by far my favorite sport. Many months go by waiting for the season to start, and then it's over so fast.
