23 states could be forced to change women's sports over one wrestler.
Lawyers for a teen wrestler in Washington want a Supreme Court ruling that keeps trans athletes out of girls' teams in every state. The teen wrestler sued Washington after she lost a girls' match to a biological male last winter.
Her lawyer is Hal Frampton of Alliance Defending Freedom. He said the hope is a ruling that would force all 23 of those states to protect women and girls. Twenty-three states is almost half the country, all decided by one wrestler's lawsuit over women's sports.
