BioWare, the Edmonton studio that gave us Mass Effect, is being shuttered. Canadian jobs, gone.
At the same time, the Liberals are making it easier for corporations to skip Canadians and hire from abroad.
We need immigration policy that puts Canadian workers first.

Uncontrolled immigration hurts newcomers and Canadians alike. It strains housing, healthcare and jobs, undermines integration, and fuels public frustration.
An immigration system without control is a system failing everyone.

Instead of training and hiring Canadians the Carney Liberals announced they're going to let employers recruit foreign labour for high-wage jobs without even having to pretend they’re no Canadian citizens to fill the job.
Canadian youth deserve the first shot at good-paying jobs.
Why are the Liberals gutting one of the few safeguards left?
Liberal mass immigration has contributed to depressed wages, high rents, and massive healthcare wait times.
Conservatives will remove non-citizens who have no legal right to be here.
Conservatives will sharply cut immigration so we can hire, train and house Canadians first.

Michelle Rempel Garner says Liberals brought in "too many immigrants too fast" as Canadians line up for scarce jobs and wait 20+ hours in ERs. Immigration Minister Lena Metlege Diab insists the reforms "are working."

All things are possible through God. Let's lift them up in prayer as a nation.
Train Canadians.

Canada can't handle <checks notes> 15,000,000 (!!?) more foriegn workers.
Immigration levels must come way WAY down.
Non-citizens with expired visas must be removed.
We must train our youth, make life affordable so that Canadians can have children, and hire Canadian.

Call me crazy (or bananas) but couldn't we maybe, just maybe, focus on creating the conditions which enable Canadians to have more kids instead?

My colleague @TamaraJansenMP has done incredible work with her bill C-218 to stop the reckless and dangerous expansion of MAID access to those suffering solely from a mental illness.
The Liberals should stop stalling and vote in favour of her bill this afternoon.
Today, @MarjoriePLC and I announced our government intends to introduce legislation later this fall to update Canada’s medical assistance in dying (MAID) laws on mental illness and advance requests.

Three years ago today, the world witnessed the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Families were torn apart, children kidnapped, women assaulted, and the elderly slaughtered: some 809 civilians were killed, while 252 would endure captivity as hostages.
In January, the last body of the hostages killed was finally returned following the return of the last living hostage last year. The return offered some closure to the conflict as the last body was laid to rest, but we know the scourge of antisemitism is not over.
The hatred that fueled October 7th did not remain on foreign shores. Right here in Canada, far too many synagogues, Jewish businesses and institutions have been the targets of harassment and hate.
This is not, and cannot become, normal. Conservatives will always fight against antisemitism and all forms of hatred: protecting our schools, communities and places of worship so that Canadians of all faiths can live in peace and security.
Today, alongside our Jewish friends and neighbours, we remember those who lost their lives that day. May their memory be a blessing.
