I can't see the point of a touchscreen laptop that can't fold 360°. What benefit am I even getting over my trackpad?
I wish they brought OLED to the standard MacBook Pro instead.
So, the person who posted yesterday about the iPad mini having a 120Hz panel being software locked to 60Hz is now saying they were misinformed and the original leaker (who this account used as the source) says they never made that claim.
Regardless of whatever happened, there's still a possibility it's true considering Apple has done things like this before. Buying 60Hz OLEDs only for this is very likely gonna cost Apple more than using 120Hz OLED panels that are software locked to 60Hz.
Though only a proper teardown is gonna clear everyone's doubts.
Additionally, another theory supporting the software lock claim is many big leakers like @.markgurman before launch said it's gonna come with a 120Hz panel. But then the leaks changed to 60Hz as the launched approached closer.
It's possible Apple later decided they can get away with 60Hz for the next 3 years or this was their entire plan all along but it wasn't found in the early leaks that only revealed the actual hardware components.
We need to divert our attention from the iPad mini to the iMac for a second

I'm actually surprised to see so many people speaking out against 60Hz and 128GB on the new iPad mini.
The number is definitely higher than it is for the iPhone 16e and 17e, where a lot more people defend 60Hz (and 128GB on the 16e), despite the fact that these features are arguably more important on those devices.
$700/₹84k for a 60Hz screen 🙏🏽
All that power of A20 Pro only to be stuck at 60 fps on every single game. Not to mention how jarring 60Hz feels in normal use as well.
I hate how majority of the replies are using "It's a newer and more powerful phone" as some "gotcha" moment as if I don't know 😭
The age or performance difference of these two should NOT matter in the tasks I did. Both are plenty powerful for it.
It’s not visible properly in the video but why is iPhone 18 Pro more responsive than the 17 in basic tasks 😭
"It's a newer phone so it'll be smoother" duh, but I expect to see a difference in something remotely heavier, not in opening and closing extremely basic system apps that are already loaded in the RAM
Replying to @_Jain_V
I don't think a standard generational jump should have a difference in basic tasks considering both are one of the best processors
