The Supreme Court just affirmed that mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day should be counted.
Ensuring that every American’s vote is counted shouldn’t be a partisan issue. Especially when the folks who vote by mail are often service members, disabled, rural, or elderly.
This is a big win for voting rights in America.

🚨 The results are in. A new Change Research poll shows me in a virtual tie with Tim O’Hare.
🔴 We begin the race in a dead heat: 44% to 43%.
🟡 After voters learn about both candidates, my lead increases to 49% vs 44%.
🟡 Among voters who say they are certain to vote, I’m leading 53% to 42%.
🟢 And once those motivated voters have read our bios, I lead O’Hare 56% to 41%.
That’s what Tarrant County voters say when they hear the truth about this race.
O’Hare’s had 4 years. He closed polling places, silenced residents, and broke the budget. Voters know it.

With the pounding of the gavel 🔨, the 2026 Texas Democratic Party State Convention concluded in Corpus Christi. Today, the majority of our more than 🙋♀️ 700 registered delegates from the Tarrant County Democratic Party, making up 📈 10% of all delegates, at what has been called the 🇺🇸 nation's largest democratic state convention—are making their way 🚗🚎🛩 home. Before leaving, our unofficial county party 🫏 mascot (or is it official?!) took time on the Corpus beach ⛱️ to reflect on:
