Sinner saved by grace! Seeking to grow in godliness; I fail often, but Christ sustains me. “Lord, I believe! Help my unbelief.”

White nationalism is a sin. It is a form of favoritism, and as Jude tells us, those who traffic in such favoritism have no part in Christ. If this is you, repent! Turn to Christ while you can, before it is too late. In him you will find peace & salvation.

It’s not virtue signaling to remind professed Christians that their partiality is a sin.

"The best of Christians is a poor frail creature, and needs the blood of atonement every day that he lives; but the least and lowest of believers will find that he is counted among Christ’s servants, and that his labor has not been in vain in the Lord. He will discover to his amazement that his Master’s eye saw more beauty in his efforts to please him, than he ever saw himself; he will find that every hour spent in Christ’s service, and every word spoken on Christ’s behalf, has been written in a book of remembrance. Let believers remember these things and take courage. The cross may be heavy now, but the glorious reward will make up for all." - J. C. Ryle on The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30)

No matter what happens with the Samuel Sey case, one of my fundamental problems with ICE isn’t so much their mission, but that they regularly operate with “guilty till proven innocent” policies. If Sey is blameless, it’ll likely only be legally established after deportation, thousands and thousands of dollars spent in legal fees, the probable loss of his job, a loss in his reputation, and the significant economic and emotional turmoil his family will likely suffer through. ICE can take away someone's liberty and livelihood before proving anything, and the person bears the cost. Even when vindicated. The onus, according to how this works today, is entirely on Sey. Not the state. I don’t care who you are or what your poltics are, this isn’t how any federal agency should operate.

We don’t save God. God saves us. We are weak. He is strong. We are poor and blind. He is almighty and full of life.
"We're saving Christianity. We've saving God. We've saving the family unit. We're saving this nation. I mean, DEI is out of the window…” - Eric Trump, son of President Donald Trump. @atrupar.

Not only is Christian Nationalism not Christian, its purveyors (like Sauve, Webbon, etc.) add to their sin by taking Christ’s name in vain. CNs, I beg of you, come out from it! Find forgiveness in Christ. Be free of this hondage to sin and Satan. Come to Christ. ✝️
American CNs: “We want a Christian nation!” (Samuel Sey exists) The same CNs: “Not like that!” Seems like it never was about Christ, was it? It’s pretty clear that CN is simply pagan nationalism w/ “Christian” blasphemously added to the label.

I’m catching up on the Samuel Sey situation and praying for him and his family. As a fellow Canadian who married an American, holds a green card, and is now in the process of naturalizing, I’ve had a lot of experience with the U.S. immigration system over the last 20+ years. I don’t know the details of his situation, but I know enough to understand how complicated this system can be. Seeking to do things legally doesn’t mean the process will be straightforward or that you won’t face difficulties. May this open our eyes to the experiences of those with far fewer resources, fewer connections, and no public platform to turn to for help.

In light of the new that @SlowToWrite has been seized by ICE, we would do well to remember what Christ said in His Word. Will we celebrate or will we mourn? Will we revel in his imprisonment or pray for him and his family?

Those celebrating Samuel Sey’s seizure by ICE are of their father the devil. Don’t like that assertion? Take it up with Jesus.

For just one recent example of this, notice how Christians will passionately debate which movies are acceptable, while remaining indifferent to teachings on God and Christ that are functionally heretical. Again, one of our great tasks in this generation is convincing conservative Christians that their theological instincts are quite liberal.
Horton is right. It’s shocking how many pastors have detailed views on geopolitical or cultural matters, but aren’t sure if the Nicene Creed is biblical. “It is amazing what a lot of Christians (including many pastors) seem absolutely certain about and what they regard as up in the air. Although there is not a single passage in the Bible that tells us what Jesus would do on a whole host of personal and social issues of morality, economics, politics, and law, we often hear confident jeremiads and assertions by the same people who express ambiguity (disguised as humility) about matters clearly addressed and treated as matters of great importance in Scripture.” - Michael Horton

Any professing Christian that actively reveled in the news of @SlowToWrite simply showed how far they are from a correct understanding of how we interact with that kind of news as Christians. Chief among them is @Brian_Sauve. Your politics have superseded your Christlikeness.

The fact that Christian Nationalists are celebrating ICE seizing @SlowToWrite proves there is *nothing* Christian about them. Samuel Sey & his family need our prayers. CNs need prayers that they will repent & come to faith.

You make an important point here. The problem is even deeper than that. The whole system of Wolfean Christian nationalism is substantially artificial. The nationalists say they want strong patriarchs of multi-generational families that are rooted across generations in specific locales. And they say they want to defend their local cultures, with an appreciation for heritage. But weirdly, that is rarely what they do (at least online). First, with some exceptions, each nationalist influencer promotes himself as the Abrahamic patriarch of his multi-generational family. Almost never do you see one speak extensively about what HIS father and siblings did. Or what his grandfather did. Given that they preach multi-generational families, it is odd that each influencer's multi-generational family tends to START with him. By and large, they don't even try to follow their father's vocation so far as I can tell. Second, most of the influencers of which I am aware do not seem to live in their birthplaces. They may settle in Ogden or in Jackson County, TN, or some other place, but (with exceptions) they weren't BORN in those places. So much for being rooted across generations. Listening to them online, one will also learn extremely little about the places they live and the cultures already there. One might see them flirt with Vlad the Impaler or with Nazis, but one hardly ever sees them promote mainstream American heroes from their local communities. It's not even clear they know who those heroes are. Even with their politics, there is much that is artificial. They say they want a strong man to organize the nation and demand total loyalty, but they rarely offer such loyalty. Whether it be Biden or Trump, etc., they deem themselves free to criticize, etc. The Wolfean nationalists tend to fail to live according to their own system.

Sure, Anthropic may have stolen all the world's intellectual property, destroyed the education system, incited mass layoffs among the corporate class, devalued all art and destroyed social trust but somehow they also managed to lose $80 billion in the first half of 2026

Freedom of conscience, religious liberty, and non-establishmentarianism are *necessary* elements of Baptist thought. You’re free to disagree, but don’t pretend you’re a Baptist. All historic Baptist confessions concur on this point, regardless of how others twist them.

I don't doubt she read a lot of Lewis's works. She simply decided that Uncle Andrew had a point, the N.I.C.E. were actually the good guys, and that Uncle Screwtape truly was affectionate.
Greta Gerwig on preparing to write Narnia: The Magician's Nephew: "I read or re-read everything Lewis wrote. Then I tried to read everything he read." She also retraced C.S. Lewis's life and steps in Belfast, Cambridge, and Oxford, hoping to better understand the author so that "my instincts would align with his”. Full report: narniaweb.com/2026/10/greta-…
