I read JD Vance's post on this site yesterday and at first I was shocked. The Vice President all but admitted that his own administration made a mistake going to war with Iran. I can't think of a sitting VP breaking with his President this publicly in my lifetime. And at first glance his analysis seems spot on. His first prescription is to end the war. A war that he and the President, until this week, refused to even call a war. It's hard to disagree with him. But like everything MAGA, the thread of truth is there to hide the larger truth. And the larger truth is this. Tuesday was the greatest repudiation of a sitting President by voters in the history of this country. Not a repudiation of a policy. A repudiation of a man. The message was not only about Iran or Israel or slogans or even the price at the pump. The message was simple. WE ARE DONE WITH DONALD TRUMP. We are done with his lies. We are done with the corruption and the gaslighting. We are done with the insanity. We are done with the cruelty. The message from Mississippi to Iowa, from Kansas to Maine, from North Carolina to Texas, young and old, North and South, East and West, was the same. Fuck Donald Trump. This country desperately needs a healthy Republican Party. A party with room for Mitt Romney and Thomas Massie, for Chris Christie and (I can't believe I'm saying this) Marjorie Taylor Greene. A party that puts this constitutional republic above the interests of one man. A party that knows the difference between a Ken Paxton and a John Cornyn, between a Vivek Ramaswamy and a Mike DeWine. That is the message voters sent on Tuesday, with more ballots cast than in any midterm in American history. WE ARE DONE WITH DONALD TRUMP. The sooner the brave members of whatever remains of the Republican Party understand that, the sooner we can begin to heal. I hope Democrats in Congress heard it too. Voters sent the same message in 2020, and we failed to make it stick. I for one don't think this country can afford 26 more months of this madness before we do the one thing voters just demanded in historic numbers. Trump needs to leave, and he needs to leave now. All it would take this January is eleven Republican senators willing to acknowledge the existential threat this lawless President poses to the country and the world. Eleven brave Republicans need to stand up and end this madness. Save their party. Save the country. It's up to all of us to give them the courage to do what's right.

Very important video.
What if a federal agent walks into a polling place and demands the ballots? Watch this civics video. States run elections. No federal agency can seize ballots without a lawful court-issued warrant. Even then, it would be extraordinary federal interference in how states run their elections.

Last night Trump said he could have won Vietnam in a week. His plan was “going after Ho Chi Minh City.” Ho Chi Minh City was Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam. Our ally. The enemy’s capital was Hanoi. We bombed it. He called the presidents who fought that war stupid, then explained how he’d have won it by attacking our own side. 58,220 Americans died in that war. Trump got five deferments. Now he’s telling the rest of us how easy it would have been. He’s had more than fifty years to learn which side we were on. He still hasn’t. That alone should disqualify him from sending anybody else’s kids to war. Instead, he’s weighing more strikes on Iran after Tuesday. His administration has reportedly considered using the “mother of all bombs,” the one he calls “like a tiny nuclear bomb.” The man who thinks we should have bombed our ally’s capital gets to choose the targets.

Dear MAGA, since you're always asking me, "What laws has Trump violated. Be specific." HERE IS A COMPREHENSIVE LIST 1) The Principle of Non-refoulement is an international law prohibiting a state from returning a person to a place where they would face a real risk of persecution, torture, or other serious harm. SEE - 1967 Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees, which the U.S ratified in 1968. 2) The Convention Against Torture (CAT) prohibits the removal of any person to a country where they would more likely than not be subjected to torture. Signed by the U.S.: April 18, 1988 Ratified by the U.S.: October 21, 1994 Enforced in the U.S.: November 20, 1994 3) The Refugee Act of 1980 prohibits the return of a refugee to a country where their life or freedom would be threatened. 4) INA § 241(b)(3) states that the U.S. cannot remove an alien to a country if it's determines that the alien's life or freedom would be threatened in that country. 5) Foreign Affairs Reform and Restructuring Act of 1998 (FARRA) - codified 8 U.S.C. § 1231 - states the U.S can NOT expel, extradite, or otherwise effect the involuntary return of any person to a country in which there are substantial grounds for believing the person would be in danger of being subjected to torture. 6) Article I, Section 4, Clause 1 (Election Clause) by attempting to control federal elections and intimidate State and election officials. 7) Article I, Section 8 - Congress' authority to create and/or abolish government agencies/offices - by creating DOGE via Executive Order and by dismantling government agencies WITHOUT Congressional approval or involvement. 8) Article I, Section 9 , Clause 8 - the Emoluments Clause - prohibits any person holding a government office from accepting any present, emolument , office, or title from any "King, Prince, or foreign State ," without congressional consent. 9) 1st Amendment free speech clause by silencing the scientific community - via Executive Order - and by trying to silence the media by kicking out certain media from the press room and by filing frivolous lawsuits. 10) 5th Amendment for violating due process rights of immigrants. Which is confirmed by the U.S Supreme Court in two separate rulings. 11) 10th Amendment by sending ICE agents into sanctuary cities. Under Printz v. United State, the Federal government "may neither issue directives requiring the States to address particular problems, nor command the States’ officers, or those of their political subdivisions, to administer or enforce a federal regulatory program." — thus, protecting sanctuary cities. 12) 14th Amendment Section 1 - the birthright citizenship clause - by signing an Executive Order attempting to end the protections of birthright citizenship. 13) 5 USC § 403 by illegally firing 18 Inspectors General's from the Defense Department, State Department, Health and Human Services Department and the Department of Labor. 14) 8 USC § 1373, the courts have ruled that this law cannot compel local law enforcement to act as immigration agents. 15) 18 U.S.C. § 4 – Misprision of Felony, by "having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony" in regards to covering up the Epstein files. 16) 18 U.S. Code § 401 for blatantly ignoring and disobeying an immigration Court ruling, a U.S. District Court ruling, and the U.S. Supreme Court ruling. @realDonaldTrump and this regime have blatantly defied, disobeyed, and ignored FIVE federal court orders, thus far. 17) 18 U.S.C. § 1505 by "willfully withholds, misrepresents, removes from any place, conceals, covers up, destroys, mutilates, alters, or by other means falsifies any documentary material" in regards to the Epstein files. 18) The Posse Comitatus Act by deploying active military armed forces on U.S. soil. 19) The War Powers Resolution Act by NOT consulting with Congress nor meeting the threshold in order to bomb Iran without consulting Congress. When Ramaswamy weaponized Amy Acton's child rape Vance said "politics is a tough business" and told people to "stop whining." When two Dan Sullivans are running on the ballot in Alaska Vance said Mary Peltola committed a "moral failing". Make it make sense.

The Republican governor of Alaska knows what he's saying is nonsense. Not only is ballot stacking legal (if icky), and not only do Republicans do it, but they're doing it in this cycle! In Alaska! @Senate_Fund spent ~$500K to get a Green Party guy in Arizona to run in Alaska.
Today’s New York Times reporting reveals disturbing new evidence of an organized effort to manipulate Alaska’s elections by recruiting candidates—including one with the same name as an incumbent U.S. Senator—to deliberately confuse voters and misdirect their votes. The Alaska Division of Elections investigated these very concerns in June of this year. The new reporting substantially supports the Division’s findings. I am therefore directing the Department of Public Safety to investigate whether this scheme violated Alaska’s laws and whether criminal charges or civil action are warranted. The evidence will determine what happens next. Alaskans have a fundamental right to vote for the candidate they actually intend to support. Deliberately tricking voters into casting their ballots for someone else strikes at the integrity of our elections. Anyone or any organization found to have broken the law must be held accountable.

The fact that the House Judiciary Dems just released a 53-page report in which 11 women spoke to Trump's ties to Epstein's sex-trafficking operation, 5 of them alleging Trump forced himself on them directly, and one citing a particularly brutal rape while she was a beauty pageant contestant, should be a more significant story. The fact that Todd Blanche has refused to comply with the court order to release the Epstein files following Katie Phang's lawsuit, should be a more significant story. The fact that the Epstein Estate ACTUALLY PAID a settlement to one of the women who alleged that Donald Trump raped her as a minor, and it was paid AFTER Epstein died, as told under oath by Epstein's longtime accountant, should be a more significant story. The fact that Trump said he wasn't ever on Epstein's plane and then we found out he was, should be a more significant story. The fact that we know senior officials gathered in the Situation Room to concoct and coordinate an Epstein coverup should be the most significant story of all. And when you combine ALL these stories and add to it his hiring of Alex Acosta, the birthday card, Bondi, the movement of Maxwell to a more lenient facility, and then - especially - my pet peeve - simply Trump's panicked behavior on all things Epstein, you really see the degree of the problem we need to fix ... Echo chambers, social media algorithms, dopamine addicts, and other susceptible citizens, have normalized something that shouldn't be normalizable (poetic license). To put it simply, and I know it sounds like an understatement, but this election is about so much more than gas prices.

.@DanSullivan_AK voted to block the release of the Epstein files and refused to meet with the victims. Dan Sullivan also recently received around $10,000 in campaign donations from Epstein associates. Weird.

I’m so sick and tired of Republicans feigning outrage over the recruitment of another Dan Sullivan in Alaska. These are the same people who: - Called Georgia election officials demanding they “find” 11,780 votes. - Organized fake elector slates to overturn an election. - Pressured Mike Pence to reject legitimate electoral votes. - Tried to use the Justice Department to overturn election results. - Pressured state legislators to change certified election outcomes. - Considered seizing voting machines. - Tried to stop the certification of an election on January 6. - Entertained deploying troops or federal agents near polling places. - Pushed baseless election fraud claims for years. - Are now threatening to block certification of an Alaska election if they lose. And THESE people want to lecture Democrats about election integrity? Give me a break.

After all the hate from Republicans today about my column on my vote for Beau Bayh, I finally get it. If Beau wins he might run for Governor someday. And then he will be a real threat to Indiana. He could do horrible things like: Lock the state down, force people to wear masks, shut down businesses, repeatedly raise taxes, keep letting utility companies raise bills, give out sweetheart deals to data centers, funnel money to the rich and power through a quasi/shadow government entity, and ignore brazen corruption from elected officials. We certainly can’t have any of that here. Republicans would never let that happen on their watch.

What Blanche is doing here is illegal, unconstitutional, and just flat out wrong. In America, EACH STATE is in charge of, runs, and oversees their respective elections. The federal government has no jurisdiction. This is all part of their plan to try to illegally federalize our elections. They must be stopped.
