Yesterday I announced the release of my first ever solo album, The Right To Protest, which initially comes out on Bandcamp only this Wednesday to celebrate my birthday. Here’s a bit of background and a track by track… 👇👇👇

Signed up to Bluesky at some point last year. Having actively avoided most social media for quite a long time now I’ll be over there now. This place is insane! 👋

I was fortunate enough to see Paul Di’Anno play at the Concorde 2 in Brighton years ago. Top bloke, amazing singer, proper frontman. RIP

Have you heard Drink to the Absent Gods by @gozer_goodspeed yet? This is 2 and a half minutes of high- attitude, fiery, psychedelic blues that you will want to listen to over and over again… 🔥 soundraiser.io/link/gozer-go…

I think what this England team needs is a decent song! People singing fucking Hey Jude and Neil Diamond 😴… why isn’t there a new Vindaloo!!

I don’t know who Richard Osman is but your train journeys sound great!

On a train, forgot to bring my earphones 😩 Opposite a bloke who looks like Richard Osman and I’ve just noticed he’s reading a book… by Richard Osman! I wonder if he knows.

A woman has sat down next to him, she’s in the phone to someone talking about getting a cat sitter when she goes away. Apparently her friend has said she can bring the cat, but they also keeep chickens 😮🐓🐈‍⬛

Nicely dressed bloke, has a pair of grey suede Chelsea boots on and a sort of dressed smart but a bit casual thing going on.

I want to take a picture but it’s not fair really. The guy is mouthing the words as he reads. It’s definitely not the real Osman, not tall enough and no wedding ring.

Slow news day… not sure I trust the second one based on the first though!

Physical media! Vinyl, CD, tape cassette, books, tees, posters, stickers. Digital is convenient, but fleeting. Physical is for that something special that'll last.

One of the questions I’ve been asked a lot recently is about #AlbumWritingClub. I had hoped to do something this year but the plan was to do it a bit differently. Same overall vibe - write an album in a month, support / help each other, promote as a group to reach more people 👇

I’d like to formally announce that I’ve pulled out of download festival. Not for any political reasons as such - they didn’t actually invite me to play and apparently I was blocking the entrance trying to get the van in
