This is a huge deal for the auto industry, bidirectional charging means you can use your EV as a whole home backup generator.
At @Ford, we want to make the best technology available to the many, not just the few. We want to make products that have great tech, while still being affordable.
In 2027, our new electric truck, Ford Fathom, is going to show that it’s possible to deliver an incredible vehicle with incredible tech and incredible value. One technology I’m excited to announce is coming to Fathom is bidirectional power and the ability to use your vehicle to power your house.
Our team of amazing engineers developed a better, more efficient and more affordable way to bring more than 10 kW of home power—without a separate wall-mounted inverter—to a truck with an MSRP below $30,000.
Making the technology more accessible is one part of the work. We’re also working with utilities to make connecting these vehicles simpler and scalable.
Thanks to American Electric Power, @bchydro, @ConsumersEnergy, @Exelon, and Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (@PGE4Me) for being among the first utilities to work with us.

Yeah, they made it even uglier than the first one when everyone else is building a properly styled car. It might be 2026 but styling still sells cars.
GM may build only about 35,000 examples of the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt before ending production, making America’s most affordable EV also a somewhat rare one-year-only model. motortrend.com/news/2027-che…

By far one of the most haunting things in the immediate aftermath of 9/11.
The rubble at the scene of the World Trade Center collapse is filled with the sounds of “PASS devices,” or emergency signals attached to firefighters when they are no longer moving.
The scale of overlapping PASS alarms bespeaks the horrible death toll that must have taken place here.
Yet worse - the alarms can’t be stopped because the bodies haven’t been found.

On a phone call today talking about door to door voter contact. I mentioned I had some experience with it before walk apps.
Immediate question from younger person in the call “I heard that back in the day you to print maps…on paper!”

The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X went 0 to 150 to 0 mph in 14.0 seconds. For some perspective on this overall time: The sharp-edged ZR1X demolished its entire run 0.2 second longer than it took the Hyundai Elantra N to hit a quarter-mile. The Corvette did it in barely more than a quarter-mile, too, with a total of 1729 feet.
