Book detailing all the weasels who dropped trou and bent over for Trump. nytimes.com/2026/09/14/opini…
I know a New Yorker article will never convince a MAGA voter of anything, but this is a fascinating look at the way Trump's xenophobic actions pushed the Chinese to become huge players in the biotech and AI worlds. newyorker.com/magazine/2026/…. .
Honestly, there's no way I can pull for the US in the WC in the current political environment; Trump's America is hapless, incompetent and corrupt and I don't want to see any US team winning a competition like this. But I can still pull for the players to do well. Until now.
The thing that rings the most true of all the things I've heard about Jaylen Brown is this is the best deal you could get for him at $60mil a season. If he was making $40, a dozen or more teams would've gotten involved. It's the money. I know this is obvious but...
Been watching a lot of soccer this World Cup and I've been consistently impressed by the announcers of each match. They know their stuff, but then we get US/Bosnia and those announcers are replaced by an ragtag group of "USA!" homers. Act like a professional guys, not a fan..
Trump Has No Conflicts of Interest , by @RBReich open.substack.com/pub/robert… The most corrupt president in the history of a country with corrupt presidents, I give you the Orange Shithead everyone.
Can you imagine if the Spurs won game 5 and the league was faced with the task of deciding if that undercut of Brunson was a flagrant foul? Holy shit, twitter would've gone nuts. Talk about your lose lose situations. We should thank the Knicks for sparing us this.
In today's Duncan/DL podcast, they made a good point. When Brunson took essentially $10 million less a year in the most recent contract, it enabled signing KAT, OG, retaining Hart, and bringing in Bridges. Money matters.

Fine, but missing all nba awards literally hurts their wallet. Not to mention you get undeserving guys now eligible for supermax extensions and what not.
It’s not about MVP, it’s about how impactful making or not making an all defense or all nba team is
One Man Stole $660 Million. He’ll Never Pay It Back. nytimes.com/2026/02/18/opini… Everything about this is appalling but for a party (GOP) that claims to be for the little guy, cheated investors get fucked twice, the Trump pardons means no penalties will be paid.
When Trump Officials’ Claims About Shootings Unravel in Court nytimes.com/2026/02/10/us/po…
When Trump Officials’ Claims About Shootings Unravel in Court nytimes.com/2026/02/10/us/po… Some of our national media has not bent the knee to Trump and his goons; the NY Times is doing fine work laying out how totally corrupt and venal this administration is.
Inside Kash Patel’s F.B.I.: Meltdowns, Chaos, Vendettas nytimes.com/interactive/2026… Truly devastating Times report on how the Trump admin is weaponizing the FBI, essentially destroying it in the process. Special kudos to showing what a piece of human garbage Sen Grassley is.
New Video Analysis Reveals Flawed and Fatal Decisions in Shooting of Pretti nytimes.com/video/us/1000000…
Lots to freak out about here, but the worst thing is two men firing 6 shots into Pretti when he's on the ground and already shot. Straight up murder.
This is a bit like barking at the moon, but it seems absurd to me that almost all the NFL players in bitter weather go barearmed. I mean, we're not children and a long sleeved undershirt means jack shit in the grand scheme, but apparently idiotic macho bullshit prevails.

It's not possible for Trump to seem more venal, stupid, or corrupt, but you got to love a pardon of a woman who committed fraud, got pardoned once by Trump, committed fraud again, and was just pardoned a second time. Is there a 3-peat looming?
