On Sunday's and Monday's we are closed. We will watch emails, respond to potential adopters, and answer the phone the phone when fosters call. We often feel that people think we are doing nothing those days. We are still busy. Some things we do, rescue related without the interruption of so many phone calls. -We spend time with the dogs -We clean kennels, wash blankets -Give baths -update adoption bios and flyers -plan events -catch up on filing -work adoption applications We also take these days: -Give us a short break without heartbreaking calls requesting we take pets we can't. _A break from seeing the mistreated pets that bring tears. -Take time with our family _Clean our own homes, and do our own laundry _Grocery shopping _Go to work without having to worry about handling the many calls, email, messages we missed while at our jobs or before going to our jobs. It is a mental break, time to breathe, time to reflect, and gather the strength to push through another crazy and hectic week. We used to be open 24/7. It really takes a toll on you. We have wanted to quit so many times, but we do this for the dogs. We are tired, we are hot, but we are thankful that we have been able to help as many as we have and can't wait to see how many more we can help. One of today's projects already completed. Sweet Linda's meet and greet has been canceled. Her family is out there though. From Linda's foster: "Loves to dance for you. With the right owners she will warm up! She is a princess and waiting to be spoiled with her forever home."

Pistachio is a sweet boy that can bring a family a ton of laughs. However, I do want to make one thing clear about him; he needs a family with kids that do not climb and lay on him. He was adopted and returned, not for biting, but snapping at a young child. My granddaughter is learning disabled and is around him. He has never snapped at her. He is not a pillow dog or one to be laid on. If your kids know not to climb on them or lay on them, pistachio would be a great fit. He is a small guy. If you want a pillow dog for the kids, we have pillow pitties aka house hippos. Pistachio is a window watching, yard inspector that will welcome all guest. 😆 🤣 shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt…
