Hello darkness, my old friend… 😩
If you thought it was getting dark early in the evening, just wait until tonight! With the clocks turning back overnight, sunset will arrive about an hour earlier on the clock across Southern Ontario today, Sunday, November 1. 🫣
Southwestern Ontario will see the latest sunsets in the region, with Windsor hanging on until approximately 5:25 PM. Sarnia and Chatham will see the sun set around 5:22 PM, while London and Goderich are closer to 5:17 PM.
Across the Golden Horseshoe, sunset is expected around 5:08 PM in Toronto, 5:09 PM in St. Catharines and 5:11 PM in Hamilton. Elsewhere, Kitchener and Owen Sound are looking at approximately 5:13 PM, with Orangeville at 5:11 PM.
Through Central Ontario, sunset will arrive around 5:08 PM in Barrie, 5:04 PM in Huntsville and 5:03 PM in Peterborough.
Farther east, Belleville and Bancroft will see the sun set just before 5 PM. Kingston is looking at 4:55 PM, followed by Ottawa at 4:50 PM and Cornwall at 4:47 PM.
Of course, we haven’t suddenly lost an hour of actual daylight! The clock change shifts daylight earlier on our clocks, giving us brighter mornings but earlier sunsets. The days will continue to gradually get shorter as we head toward winter.
Are you a fan of the brighter mornings, or would you rather keep that extra hour of evening light? 👇

Mainly sunny skies are expected for much of the region for Saturday, with some more clouds expected in Eastern and Southwestern Ontario.
Some isolated showers are possible tomorrow, however most areas should remain dry through much of the day and during the evening for trick or treating.
The upcoming week looks mainly dry until mid-week when we will have to keep an eye on a chance of rain.

The only shock you should get is a Halloween 😯fright - never from unsafe electric products! Share pics of your scary, but safe, 🎃Halloween display.
If your power goes out, check your breakers first, then check the outage map to see if it has already been reported. Stay clear of downed power lines and follow safety guidance while crews work to restore service.
