Big things are happening! I was able to intergrade 3D blocking into my app. I feel the film world has opened up to me. Now I know how my shots are going to look before the render. Game changer! Never give up and keep pushing forward. Just want to say thanks to the awesome community we have.

Long nights! App building and countless renders, local AI is very time-consuming. Here's a sample clip on some stuff I'm working on.

I have a book, Industrial Light & Magic, about special effects and filmmaking. There was a picture in it that stuck with me. I was 11 when I saw Return of the Jedi in the theater, and when I found out who made it, I thought this one guy made the whole movie. That picture always made me believe one person could make movies — until I found out it actually takes hundreds, maybe thousands, of people. I was defeated at a young age. I went out to Hollywood to become a special effects artist and lost myself in the underbelly of the glitz and glamour. I escaped, regrouped, and realized my dream might already be dead. After countless scripts written, effects made, and filmmaking equipment bought, I gave up on being a filmmaker. No budgets, flaky actors, and endless letdowns — that was it. The dream was gone. Or so I thought. Artificial intelligence has reignited the passion I had as a kid, and now I believe one person really can make a Hollywood movie. "And thank you to this community of AI filmmakers who've reminded me that the dream I buried years ago was never really gone — just waiting for the right tool."

DAY 13 — HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN 🎃 A black cat crosses your path. The number 13 waits in the shadows. Bad luck? Maybe. Or maybe some things were only called unlucky because people feared them. This will be my last post. Going to start work on my Halloween short film.

DAY 12 — HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN 🎃 There’s a creature inside all of us. Most of the time, we keep it buried. But when you create, you give it a shape. A face. A voice. Maybe the darkness isn’t something to run from. Maybe it’s something to use.

Sometimes the best upgrade isn’t another model, another GPU, or another piece of software. It’s going back to the fundamentals. Story. Suspense. Composition. Editing. Pacing. AI can generate the frames. The filmmaker still has to know why the shot exists. Back to studying the craft. 🎬

If you are talking about my past work, I am experimenting building my own app. They are just rough concepts with a local model. I'm on a Mac Mini M4 16gb so rendering is limited to time.

DAY 11 — HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN 🎃 Belief is a strange thing. Sometimes nobody else can see what you see yet. The film, the shot, the atmosphere—it only exists in your head. You keep building anyway with AI. Because before anyone else believes in it, you have to.
