🎉 MAJOR MARIJUANA VICTORY: Massachusetts voters overwhelmingly rejected Question 8, the prohibitionist-funded ballot measure seeking to repeal the state's voter-approved legalization law. "There's no 'buyer's remorse' among voters when it comes to legalizing and regulating marijuana," NORML's Deputy Director Paul Armentano said. "In fact, more Massachusetts voters support legalization today than did a decade ago, and these election results prove it." 🔗 Link to full story in first comment.

🎉 MAJOR MARIJUANA VICTORY: Idaho voters soundly rejected HJR 4, state lawmakers' attempt to have their constituents forfeit their right to decide on marijuana legalization. "HJR 4 wasn't anti-marijuana; it was anti-democracy," NORML's Deputy Director Paul Armentano said. "Idaho lawmakers know that they can no longer make a rational case for the state's prohibitive and punitive marijuana policies – policies that are out of step not only with most other states, but also with most Idahoans. "Rather than evolve their views to align with those of their constituents, Idaho lawmakers cynically asked Idahoans to relinquish one of the most fundamental powers they have in a free society: their power to vote. Fortunately, voters rejected this authoritarian proposal." 🔗 Link to full story in first comment.

One In Four Marijuana Consumers Are More Likely To Purchase A Gun Following Supreme Court’s Second Amendment Ruling. In June, the court unanimously ruled that the government’s efforts to criminalize possession of firearms for cannabis consumers through a statute known as 922(g)(3) is an unconstitutional violation of the Second Amendment. marijuanamoment.net/one-in-f…

Look - it isn't my thing but Iowa is facing a budget crisis to the tune of $1.4 billion. A common-sense way to help address that would be to fully legalize adult-use cannabis in Iowa. And to solve the problems that come with it - we treat it like alcohol. Read my full plan here: robsand.com/issues/cannabis-…
