They can’t dictate play at 5 on 5, defensively they’re a train wreck, Bob is clearly not anywhere near the goalie he once was, they take way too many penalties and Jim Hiller doesn’t hold anybody over the age of 30 accountable for anything. Not ideal. Not ideal at all.

Understand the McKenna benching for the rest of the 2nd. Would be poor coach decision to have him not play a regular shift at 5v5 in the 3rd. Kid knows he fkd up. Give him a chance to build off it.

How can an assists be awarded on that Habs goal. If that isn’t an own goal I don’t know what is. Newhook passes puck through the crease, McCabe tries to play puck with foot but directs it towards net, puck is then kicked into the net by Bobrovsky. Newhook goal, yes Assist, no!

Lemieux was the most talented player, just my opinion. Health aside. Both 99&4 were so far superior from the rest of the players they played against it was sick. I don’t want to take anything away from McDavid, but to diminish the others is insane

Guy had the strength that he could score with 2 guys on his back while having the finess of being able to deek out everyone on the ice and shoot it top corner. We will never see another Mario.

He's a better player than Gretzky. His speed is extraordinary. There are a lot of great players in this era, but the qualitative gap between McDavid and the next best players far exceeds Gretzky vis a vis his contemporaries at that time.
