24 years ago, I earned a G.E.D. through a community program in Rochester, NY. I was pregnant with my oldest son senior year of high school. Yesterday, I was informed that I earned tenure at @UPenn - an Ivy League University.

This deserves more attention. Dannielle Brown is on day 237 of a hunger strike in protest of her son’s death at Duquesne University in 2018, when he fell 16 stories out his dorm window while surrounded by police. Brown is currently hospitalized and had a seizure yesterday.
