The Stepping-Feet Illusion features two rectangles apparently moving like a pair of stepping feet, but they're actually moving at the same constant speed. The illusion is broken when the striped texture is removed.

One of the interesting aspects of the pyramids is their relation to the speed of light. Some people claim that the location of the Great Pyramid of Giza, which is the largest and oldest of the three, is somehow aligned with the speed of light in a vacuum. This is because the latitude of the pyramid in decimal degrees is 29.9792458 N, which is very close to the value of the speed of light in meters per second, which is 299,792,458 m/s. However, this is most likely a coincidence and not a deliberate design by the ancient Egyptians.

The best book I've read on how anyone can learn the tactics of the most successful students. Practical but backed by the latest science, Outsmart Your Brain is an onramp to the virtuous cycle of interest, confidence, and achievement. Bravo @DTWillingham! simonandschuster.com/books/O…

Something I taught 13 yo: The point of practice is to cause you to do the right thing by habit, without having to think about it consciously. That's why it's worthwhile practicing things you "already know" how to do.

Elon Musk was once asked: "How do you learn so fast?" He replied: "I think most people can learn a lot more than they think they can. It's important to view knowledge as a semantic tree. Make sure you understand the fundamental principles before you get into the details."

Out of curiosity, I acquired some ascii hash strings called “Bitcoin, Ethereum & Doge”. That’s it. As I’ve said before, don’t bet the farm on crypto! True value is building products & providing services to your fellow human beings, not money in any form.
