This is a car crash In which the Chancellor confirms that he knows he is deliberately hurting low and middle earners. They're psychos.
Student Loan (Plan 2) repayment threshold is being frozen from April, so millions must pay more. Its double fiscal drag & not what they agreed to. I asked the Chancellor why? For more incl on fiscal drag itself, see the Martin Lewis Money Show Budget Special on itv.com/watch/the-martin-lew…

🚨🇵🇱 BREAKING: Poland is heading into a full-blown CONSTITUTIONAL SHOWDOWN. Police have been deployed to the Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw, its president Bogdan Święczkowski has reportedly been suspended, and President Karol Nawrocki was so alarmed he TURNED HIS PLANE AROUND on the way to Senegal. Now things are getting seriously ugly. Prime Minister Donald Tusk says he's restoring the rule of law after years of political interference in the courts. His opponents are calling it an attempted COUP. Święczkowski's camp is even disputing the suspension itself, insisting he remains the tribunal's legitimate president. Police say they were there to maintain security, not seize the court. So Poland now has rival camps disputing who can legitimately exercise authority over the country's highest constitutional court. And a president who has abandoned a foreign trip to deal with it. This is no longer just another argument between Poland's politicians. It's a fight over who gets to enforce the Constitution. Why are we funding holiday camps for illegal immigrants whilst facing a harsh winter with soaring energy bills and government calls to stockpile essentials?
🚨WHILE YOU’RE STRUGGLING TO PAY THE BILLS… THIS IS WHAT’S HAPPENING AT RAF WETHERSFIELD. Migrant men who entered the UK illegally are having the absolute time of their lives - disco lights, terrible music blasting, dancing around, playing pool and table tennis like it’s a holiday camp. All on YOUR taxpayer money. These are the videos the Home Office doesn’t want you to see. No wonder they’re trying to keep the cameras away. British families choosing between heating and eating while this goes on night after night up and down the country. Share this far and wide before it gets taken down. Let everyone see it.

Labour’s #Budget has not pleased the people. It looks like we have another Labour meltdown at the polls, even in their safest seats. I can see #Makerfield going to Reform next time. The electorate don’t like being lied to…
🚨BREAKING: What a result in one of Labour’s SAFEST seats in the country. Labour absolutely capitulated. And the Conservatives? Well… the numbers speak for themselves. Never count out Reform UK.

Healey is one of 210 Labour MPs who has more PIP claimants in his constituency than his majority. And we wonder why they won't touch welfare reform with a barge pole.
6am: Healey tells BBC he will bring down benefits bill before election 8:20: Treasury dispute the story 1pm: No10 disown it saying they have never set a target 2pm: PM says cuts as soon as possible 4pm: Healey says Labour won't bring bill down this Parliament

SMART MOTORWAYS @NationalHways @andyburnham @10DowningStreet reinstate the hard shoulder now. With not even a grass verge to pull onto the risk of instant death in those first moments is off the scale 💀
Scariest morning ever. My car decided to breakdown on the m4 in the middle of the lane( luckily had just got over from the right!) I’m desperate to find the lorry driver who stopped and helped me. Works for readypower! #readypower #m4 #m4motorway

Just a reminder… Uber rewrote contracts with drivers outside of London to avoid paying millions of pounds to the Exchequer. Let’s be clear: Uber’s “agency model” is a scam. If you control the price, the payment, and the rules, you are the principal- full stop! This is nothing more than regulatory arbitrage, and Uber should be forced to pay! @transportgovuk

Because he it the nail on the head Governments in the UK hate the truth from the public who see through their weaknesses of Politicians. bottlers in other words.
This guy’s question gets brushed aside. It’s pretty valid. Why should lads my age or older be going to work just to pay for young folk who are too scared or lazy to work, or people who commit cousin f**kery? #bbcqt

John Healey: “We have to bring the benefits bill down. You don’t do that by crude cuts.” This is the same Labour that gave Universal Credit an inflation-busting 6.2% rise in April. Combined with housing benefit, disability payments, child benefit and PIP, thousands can now take home more than the living wage without working. 9.2 million economically inactive. 1.2 million young people not in work, training or education. 300,000 a year joining the queue with mental health issues. Burnham himself has already said welfare handouts matter more than defence spending. As the welfare bill, debt and immigration keep rising ever more rapidly, Labour’s priority remains benefits claimants over hardworking taxpayers. I despise Labour and all their unscrupulous politicians.

You would have thought there was someone in government to appreciate the irony of effectively censoring someone who wanted to come here to discuss censorship. Home Office policy making has degenerated into dangerous farce. theguardian.com/uk-news/2026…

THIS IS THE NEXT BIG UK SCANDAL The Hidden Credit Line scandal has run since the 2000s. NatWest (@NatWestGroup), Royal Bank of Scotland (@RBS_Help) and Ulster Bank (@UlsterBankNI) sold business owners loans with an interest rate swap attached. It was marketed as protection if rates rose. It actually created hidden exposure against the customer's own assets that nobody clearly explained. When rates fell after 2008, banks used that exposure to call in debts, strip assets and push profitable businesses into insolvency. Steve Middleton (@stevemiddi1) and Mark Wright, a former RBS manager, built BankConfidential (@BankConfidenti1) to collect the evidence. Mark Wright put in about £60,000 of his own pension. Neither made a penny and both lost their careers for telling the truth. In November 2022 they met the FCA (@TheFCA) with Lord Prem Sikka (@premnsikka) and derivatives expert Ian Tyler. James Hurley (@jameshurley) of @thetimes had already written 4 articles calling it financial and accounting fraud. The FCA let NatWest review itself and concluded it was not technically criminal fraud. BankConfidential published its full report in November 2025. On 14 April 2026 it prompted a Westminster Hall debate led by John McDonnell (@johnmcdonnellMP), chair of the APPG on Investment Fraud and Fairer Financial Services (@appgonifandffs). MPs asked for a judge led statutory inquiry under the Inquiries Act 2005. Six reviews had already produced no justice. Ian Byrne (@IanByrneMP) said this scandal belongs alongside Hillsborough, Post Office Horizon and infected blood. He also noted the FCA is a private company limited by guarantee with immunity from civil liability. Andrew Candy was hit with an undisclosed £70,000 break cost. He lost his business and family home and spent 17 years seeking answers. Economic Secretary Lucy Rigby (@LucyRigby) replied that the FCA is independent and ministers should be careful about interfering. The regulator failed for over a decade, and its independence is now the reason given for not investigating that failure. Nobody has gone to prison... yet.
