🇺🇸🇮🇷 Brent crude oil has surged above $116 per barrel for the second time in October, as the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran continues to disrupt global energy markets.
The international oil benchmark is now trading at approximately $116.22, approaching the $120 mark.
The latest increase brings Brent's gains over the past year to more than 80%, reflecting the sharp rise in energy prices since the conflict escalated.
Brent has now returned to the highs it reached in March, April and May, when the war drove oil prices above $110 per barrel, after briefly falling toward $70 in July.
Higher crude prices are also raising transportation, manufacturing and fuel costs, extending the economic impact of the war far beyond the Middle East.

This is EXTREMELY funny because Ukrainians generally continue the ultra-Soviet tradition of doing things tied to specific dates, holidays and anniversaries; also, superstition and New Age stuff is very common there and many Ukrainian politicians and businessmen genuinely have astrologers, psychics and witches they regularly consult, so they just assume it's the same in Russia because they can't figure out missile strikes tied to military planning and the weather instead of tarot. Genuinely one of the most hilarious cases of projection of the entire war.
