Dear College Coaches, I would respectfully ask that if you're planning to shut down one of your incoming freshman pitchers during the American Legion season, you have the courtesy to call the Legion coach and have a conversation. We would absolutely work with you and the player to protect the pitcher's arm and do what's in his best long-term interest. Communication goes a long way, and we're all ultimately working toward the same goal—the player's success. I realize some college coaches may not place much value on a Legion coach's perspective, but this game is built on relationships, and those relationships have a way of coming full circle. The Golden Rule is still the best approach.

This is a great example of what kind of competition u will be facing in SC American Legion. Kit was pitching for Lexington Post 7 a few weeks ago.
In his first appearance of the summer, Kittrell McLauchlin (@KittMclauchlin) struck out three batters over two innings, including the first two he faced. McLauchlin is a rising freshman from Gilbert HS and heading to Florence-Darlington Tech this fall.

One of the coolest things about American Legion Baseball is getting to see players compete from all over the state. I wanted to give a shoutout to LHP Tucker Evans from @RHpost34. Tucker isn't a guy who's going to light up the radar gun, but what he does better than most is get outs. He changes speeds, works fast and pounds the strike zone w 3 pitches, keeps hitters off balance, and competes every time he takes the mound. For college coaches looking for an under-the-radar pitcher they can trust in any situation, give Tucker Evans from Chester High School a look next year. And one more thing... Tucker does all of this with only good vision in one eye after being injured in a hunting accident. But I can assure you that doesn't effect him and If anything, that says even more about his toughness, determination, and makeup as a competitor. Best of luck, Tucker. I'm a big fan and can't wait to see what's next for you.

Got to give a shoutout to Coach Derek Urquhart and @Post1Baseball for winning the 2026 American Legion State Championship. That championship is extremely hard to win, and Post 1 is in the hunt year after year. I've said it a 100 times—they're the gold standard of American Legion Baseball in South Carolina. Coach Urquhart runs his program with class, his players buy in, and they've built a culture of sustained success. Congratulations on another State Championship!

Everyone bitches and complains about TB. But what's the solution? We stopped complaining and built one. A FREE American Legion Baseball program where players get recruited, compete for real championships, play unbelievable competition close to home, play on weeknights, and represent their community all while having to earn playing time vs paying for playing time. Don't take our word for it—ask the players and families who have done both travel ball and Legion. Less complaining. More solutions. Play Legion ⚾!

Richland Post 215 American Legion Baseball Program Senior Team started play tonight in the South Carolina American Legion Senior Baseball Playoffs as they hosted Game 1 in a best of three series vs. Rock Hill Post 34 Senior at AC Flora Falcon Field. There was no score until the bottom of the second inning when Richland Post 215 Senior scored two runs on three singles to take a 2-0 lead after two innings. Rock Hill Post 34 would respond in the top of the third inning as cleanup batter hit a three run home run to give Rock Hill Post 34 a 3-2 lead. Rock Hill Post 34 senior would answer with two unearned runs in the top of the fifth inning to make the score 12-5. But Richland Post 215 would respond with three runs on a monster two run home run to centerfield by Rohan Bremmer and an RBI triple down the left field line by Jackson Williams to win the game by run rule 15-5 in five innings. For Richland Post 215 Senior, Tyler Hernandez was rock solid on the mound. He pitched 4 2/3 innings to get the win. He allowed three runs on four hits and struck out six batters. Riggs Scott pitched the last third of an inning allowing two unearned runs. Hitting wise, Jackson Williams went 3 for 3 with a triple, 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored and a stolen base. Alvin Murray went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles, 4 RBIs and a run scored. Charlie Scott went 2 for 3 with a double, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. Austin Jeffcoat went 2 for 4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Nate Caldwell went 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Rohan Bremmer went 1 for 3 with that monster home run, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Joe Ray went 1 for 3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Dylan Hernandez went 1 for 2. Meanwhile over at Ben Lippen High School in South Carolina American Legion State AAA Championship play, Richland Post 215 Gold AAA hosted Marion Post 5 AAA in an elimination game. After holding Marion Post 5 AAA scoreless in the top of the first inning, Richland Post 215 Gold AAA scored two runs in the bottom of the first to take an early lead. Thanks to strong pitching on both sides, the score would remain 2-0 until the bottom of the fourth inning when Richland Post 215 Gold AAA scored another two runs to take a four run lead. From there, Richland Post 215 Gold AAA’s pitching would take it the rest of the way as their starting pitcher, Tim Manning and their relief pitcher Brody Price would combine to shut out Marion Post 5 AAA 4-0. Manning was magnificent on the mound, pitching five and a third shutout innings, allowing only one hit while striking out seven batters and walking just one. Brody Price pitched an inning and two thirds scoreless allowing no hits. Hitting wise, Peyton Souter led the way going 2 for 2 with 2 RBIs. Zach Nelson went 1 for 3 with a run scored. Andre Toney went 1 for 2 with a run scored. James Helfer went 1 for 2. With the win, Richland Post 215 Gold AAA advances to the next elimination round at historic Riley Park in Sumter this Friday, July 17. They will take on Inman Post 45 in an elimination game at 4 pm.
