Bob Hennebury ATVed from just east of Pt May to Lord's Cove on the southern Burin Pen and counted 257 dead seabirds. Mostly murres, 7-8 gannets, 7-8 gulls, 6 puffins and some razorbills!

Last night, 4 Montevecchi Lab members took up their NOS route from last year and had a “hoot” doing so! Even managed to hear three of these guys ⬇️ singing their little hearts out
Today we applaud the volunteers of the Nocturnal Owl Survey! 300 amazing owlers have patrolled the chilly spring nights for over 20 years, listening for the hoots of these beloved birds. Last year, you gifted 1200 hours to owl monitoring! #NationalVolunteerWeek @BirdsCanada

Important that hunters report oiled birds. Oiled murres shot off Cape Freels and in Placentia Bay today.
