Vivek Ramaswamy's loss in Ohio is entirely the fault of @ChairmanAlex and @ohiogop. They endorsed him early. Vivek was never a competitive candidate, but the Ohio GOP explicitly said they wanted to shut out @JimTressel5, thinking with Trump they didn't need to care about Ohioans.
Here are your lessons for this election.
(1) Americans deserve real candidates. Primaries should be real decisions. It is not acceptable to pick nepotistic imbeciles like Ramaswamy thinking it's a guaranteed win. The decision was entirely about financial kickbacks to the party.
(2) Local elections matter a lot. Virginia, a beautiful rural state, was lost to the Democrats because the GOP there just gave up. If you're not sharpening your sword, you will lose. Alex Triantafilou should have lost his GOP seat for his incompetence and he probably will in 2028. I am very proud that I encouraged people to run for Ohio SCC seats that actually won. It's a small victory, but it helps stop future Viveks. You should participate in your local party even if you don't care about federal elections.
(3) Nobody has ever integrated. Vivek Ramaswamy has spent his entire life in the United States and has enjoyed a fully American upbringing. Our hospitality towards his family has earned us nothing but his scorn and contempt for average Americans.
After the primary, I was convinced he'd win, maybe by a small margin. It wasn't until the rape ad I knew it was over. Despite spending more years on Earth in the United States than I have, he was fundamentally Indian. It is an unalterable part of his very essence. In his mind, being raped is a sign of personal and familial shame and humiliation. Passport colors don't change this.
American is an egalitarian society. We love underdogs, we love humble origins, we love punching up. Despite our flaws, America is a place where wealthy, egomaniacal freaks like Vivek can still get humbled by some random woman.
