My “shift” from “left to right,” which led me to vote Republican (Trump, nonetheless) for the first time in my life in 2024, was a deliberate response to what I eventually realized were longstanding issues I had with the Democratic Party.
I am not prepared to change course at this time.

You do not vote in the midterms to vote for GOP politicians. You vote in the midterms to keep Democrat politicians out and increase Trump’s leverage. GOP Congress is irrelevant. It’s over. But Democrat Congress can do a lot of damage. You discipline yourself and you vote.
