My first “Emperor” recording. Dad had joined a record club in the 1970s, and we forgot to cancel the record of the month. This arrived, and gripped me. I can still remember thinking how marvellous the tune of the third movement was

The electorate aren’t goldfish. Our memories are long enough to recall June 2024, when you declared that trans-identified men with penises should be able to use women’s public bathrooms. It took a Supreme Court ruling to force you to uphold women’s rights, and now you pose as our bold champion? Please.
The time for talk has long passed. This government is putting its money where its mouth is when it comes to supporting women and girls.
We'll back practical action to confine misogyny to the history books - in public services, workplaces, and online.

Sorry about the quality of our journalism for the past 14 years....
Imagine listening to this segment on a loop hour after hour as you sip your coffee or try to read. (Yes I know- I could move but I think I was hypnotised!) Tokyo Narita airport.
It’s usually “hit or miss” if I get a good meal in Japan - not because of the quality of the food but because of the the lack (often) of English menus. This was a hit.

You do have a constituency called Arbroath and Broughty Ferry to look after, just letting you know…
Today I was denied entry into the West Bank, alongside other parliamentary colleagues from across Europe as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
We were held for 8 hours, interrogated and ultimately prevented from crossing the border.
I came to stand alongside Palestinians being attacked for harvesting olives on their own land. Instead, we were turned away, with no reason given.
More than ever, Palestinians are being subject to terror and violence by the IDF and illegal settlers. Increased blockades, demolitions and unthinkable violence have become the norm for Palestinians in the West Bank.
It is more important now than ever that we bear witness and show our solidarity.
But we were prevented from doing so.
I will continue to do everything I can to apply pressure on the Netanyahu government, and those responsible for the persecution and genocide of the Palestinian people.
