Trump's Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence (Sriram Krishnan) has only a bachelor's degree from SRM in India. Ranked #601 in the world for Computer Science skills.
Where's the AI policy?
Congratulations to India's Shoolini University!
- India's Best University
- 578th Best University in the world
India didn't make the top 500 this year. 🙁

Reports of China's Xi and South Africa's Ramaphosa falling sick at the BRICS summit, hosted by India.
Everyone's holding hands. Creepy statue. One's wearing a dress, another's in pajamas...
Those BRICS guys know how to party.
Y Combinator's Ankit Gupta is angry at the Trump team. They're moving to restrict YC's supply of ultra-cheap H-1B labor.
On Twitter, Gupta is blocking people (including FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson) that respond to Gupta's incessant whining about the issue.

Replacing thousands of Americans with cheap foreign workers is NOT a "Free Market"!!!

H-1b job shops will cash-in on the new $4,000 biometric fee. Big time!
- First, they'll deduct $4,000 from the H-1B's paychecks.
- Next, they'll beg for $4,000 from their clients ("Saar... I can not make my business without that $4,000!... can you pay at least some of that, Saar?").
Those shops will be laughing all the way to the bank.

🚨 CONTEXT MATTERS.
A new H-1B fee rule just cleared OIRA, and it’s already being described as a “massive tax on high-skilled immigration.”
Here’s what’s being left out:
The $4,000 fee targets employers with 50+ U.S. employees where MORE THAN HALF of their U.S. workforce is already H-1B or L-1.
And the rule expands that existing fee to extensions.
In other words, if a company has built a U.S. workforce that is majority H-1B/L-1, Congress is asking it to pay an additional $4,000 when continuing those workers.
That’s some pretty important context.

DHS has kicked off the fight against student visa abuse!
- Visa durations have been cut from unlimited to four years. That includes academic and OPT time. Plenty of time for a highly skilled alien to get a degree.
- "Grace Period" has been cut from 60 to 30 days. Plenty of time to pack up and return home.

Where is America's AI policy?
The White House hired Sriram Krishnan to develop our policy.
Sri's not an engineer. He's a grad of India's #1501 ranked Anna U.
In broken English, he says communication is his strongest skill, and he has few tech skills.

Obama judge didn't like Trump's $100,000 H-1b fee?
Trump should reinstate the rule with a $99,999 fee.
Tonight, H-1B critic Ken Paxton beat H-1B supporter John Cornyn in the Texas Senate primary.
Hopefully, a trend is beginning.
Marci Rubio deftly managed a foolish Indian reporter (@WION) that falsely accused the USA of making "racist comments" about Indians.
The reporter couldn't provide one example of any such comment. LOL.
Marco goes on to explain that there are "stupid people" in both India and the USA.

ICE cracks down on 10,000+ potential fraud cases in OPT job program. Foreign companies are using the Optional Practical Training to avoid the cost of hiring higher-paid Americans.
This is a good start! The H-1B program should be next!

US charges Indian & Singapore companies with fraud.
They used unqualified foreign workers to operate a ship in the USA. Due to their negligence, the ship wrecked and did $5B of damage to a Baltimore bridge.
US taxpayers will pay the damages, of course.

Trump is planning to raise H-1b minimum salaries, and to make them 25~30% more expensive next year.
The plan awaits Dept of Labor approval.
