On October 22nd, a vehicle traveling along I-80 near Hwy 193 crashed into a power pole, sparking a brush fire. A #PCSO deputy driving in the opposite direction witnessed the crash and responded to help. @CHPAuburn is investigating. Watch the dash cam footage below:🎥

Structure Fire on W. Main St. in GV with threat to nearby homes. @GRSNEVFIRE E2 and E5 with assistance from @NCCFIRE E84, @CALFIRENEU, and Penn Valley Fire were able to contain the fire to building of origin. E2 pump panel shows just some of the lines needed to put out the fire.

All of the Tahoe National Forest is under Fire Restrictions which bans campfires outside of Developed Campgrounds for the safety of the public and first responders as well as for the protection of communities and natural resources. This fire is 100 percent preventable.
