What’s with the mouse in the Bristol Channel ?
Journalist told “If you wait for the press release, you know the embargo. That’s what every other press outlet did.”
Erm, that’s not how journalism works!
Amazing: journalist does journalism to discover something, and because everyone is so used to people living by press release, they literally can't believe the journalist found it out on their own.

A complex case, involving three children born in country X aged between 6 and 14, who originally had permission to stay in Uk until spring 2027. Family court found older children subject to physical abuse. Father will be charged. Children all in LA care now --could they be safely returned to Country X? An Independent Social Worker had to assess potential family members as carers there . But the Judge found the ISW's evidence lacked rigour and clarity and she had clearly used AI (as @MouseInTheCourt explains)... the Judge said : "I do not feel able to place any significant weight on her evidence". Those three children will remain in care in England - though the younger ones might go back to their home country in future....

For reasons I can't remember, I picked up a second-hand copy of "Cases in Court" published in 1949 & it's a very good read.
Seems that the demise of transparency in the justice system has been lamented for more than 70 years....
And yet here we are, some of us, still trying!
Youth justice have requested *another* week to prepare the report due to "unavoidable illness" of report writer
The 14-year-old girl storms out of the court, followed by mum, and the hearing is adjourned in their absence
Forth time lucky!
And I'm back at Stratford Youth Court to hopefully see the conclusion of this case
At least 17 people have been waiting for proceedings to commence since 10am-it's now half past and the bench remains empty
Would a 4pm triage the night before prevent this waste of time I wonder?
Barrister Natasha Hausdorff, representing defendant Matthew Heath, 33, cites "extremely problematic" disclosure failures which have delayed the start of her client's trial for stalking at Stratford Magistrates' Court
Thank you for reading. This ends my coverage of the trial as I am busy elsewhere tomorrow. Feel free to buy me a coffee if you like

Hi @MouseInTheCourt by way of correction what I actually said in court was that it was not possible for a member of the public to search the Land Registry by NAME. I made plain that the public could search by ADDRESS. Kindly update the record as your report here is wrong.
