MSAL.NET 4.0 has been released. This has support for ADFS 2019. However, it does not support a direct connection to ADFS 2016 or ADFS v2 (which are not OIDC compliant). To do this, you keep using ADAL - github.com/AzureAD/microsoft…

If you are having issues with device authentication not working on ADFS on Windows Server 2016, as per the forum "I had the same issue with KB4088787. After uninstalling KB4088787 Device AuthN worked again. The problem does not exist with KB4088889".
