Britain was the fastest growing G7 economy in the 2nd quarter of 2026 (ONS) ... key to GDP is spending, not small numbers of people sitting on excessive "investment". If we want to get Britain booming, we need a wealth tax and redistribution to those who spend it.
Britain has lost £121bn in wealth in 2 years because our top taxpayers are LEAVING. Britain is falling deeper into third-world decline and the rest of us are footing the tax bill. Only Reform will stop this by making Britain the most attractive country for successful people.

I can’t remember being more disappointed by any politician. @andyburnham needs to abolish the House of Lords. It’s a vector for corruption. Because that’s what this is. A pay-to-play capture of a UK lawmaker by Silicon Valley’s worst firm.

The "whiteboard defense:" I should be able to pull you aside at any moment and ask you to explain any customer-facing system you've shipped. You should be able to clearly explain how it works and defend the decisions you made. This is my benchmark for responsible AI usage. I don't expect line-level familiarity with the code. I don't care if you remember the exact function name or implementation detail. You may not even know it. I don't care. But if I ask "why did you do X instead of Y?", "what happens if this actor behaves maliciously?", "what data structure did you use here and why?", or "where does this fail?" you should be able to answer confidently. For PoCs, demos, experiments, whatever: I don't care. Generate 100% of it and understand none of it. Speed over quality every time in those specific scenarios. But if you're shipping customer-facing work, you can't be shipping things you don't understand at a high level.

Can someone please create a fully featured alternative to Evernote so I don't have to pay a fortune for it. Thanks.

100%. The media will try to destroy Polanski over the next 3 years, painting him as a joke, not credible as a leader, extreme in his views. The media controls UK politics. And still... STILL... the public ignore who controls the media. We all believe that we can't be manipulated.
A retweet by Zack Polanski is now the main story across every single media outlet. Two days ago, it was revealed that Nigel Farage failed to disclose a £5 million gift from a crypto-billionaire. It gets nowhere near the media attention, for straightforward political reasons.

It really is staggering to see the leader of the Opposition throw fellow women/girls under the bus… …all to make a data-illiterate attack on foreigners. As if domestic violence, workplace harassment, groping, rapes, drink spiking, misogyny, etc otherwise just don’t exist.

Absolutely. The rhetoric is always about war and division when it should be about assertive but constructive negotiation.
Why is nobody saying “ we need to talk to Russia and build an enduring peace” Europeans need to wake up. The only possible positive future involves peace and trade with Russia. Russia is a natural cultural and geographical fit. We’re being led by war mongers. Whose children will be far from bullets. Armaments are the new industry of choice in Europe. That says it all.

Another day another news blackout from most of our media on the story of a Farage ally in European Parliament and leader of his party in Wales taking bribes from Russia to spout their lies and BS … Nathan Gill should be a household name by now. But the media that gave you phone hacking and helped give you Brexit are making sure he remains under the radar in case it demands their new pal Nigel …

Talk is cheap. What we need is facts. An actual inquiry. If the government really believes Reform is "in bed with Vladimir Putin", why on earth isn't it opening the inquiry the security and intelligence committee have long demanded??
🚨🎥 WATCH: Rachel Reeves says Nigel Farage and Reform are the "single greatest threat" to the UK way of life "Who is standing up for Britain's interests? A Labour Government who stands with our allies, or Reform, in bed with Vladimir Putin?"

'“Bobby wants to be careful with what he says, but I’m not so careful with what I say,” Mr Trump added, referring to Mr Kennedy.' Well Trump is right about that one thing I guess. More terrifying lunacy from the US government: telegraph.co.uk/us/politics/…

Freedom of speech. Who can deny that that's an important thing? But what these high profile agressive right wingers mean by freedom of speech is that they should be able to say anything they want without accountability, and without regard to whether it offends or damages anyone.

Freedom itself - again almost no one would refute the value of that. But just like freedom of speech, it doesn't mean that you should inflict cruelty on people just because you want to. Freedom of all kinds should be balanced with respect for people who are different to you.

The strongest signal of credibility is not how much people know. It's how much they care about accuracy. Trustworthy sources don't have an agenda. They pursue the truth even if it counters their hopes and beliefs. The most reliable voices are the ones most invested in learning.

I welcome this. I've worked a 4 day week for a few years now (by losing a fifth of my income!) and it was hugely positive for me in terms of headspace, family, and just making life function more smoothly! theguardian.com/money/2025/j…
