3C2 had a visit from @RosehillHSās link officer today to discuss all things Gang Culture and the risks to young people in society as part of our Identity unit. Lots of very interesting information and some brilliant questions from the class. Very proud āļø

Studying The Boxer by Emma Payne with S2 at the moment. Today we creating our own boxerās to help get into the mindset of the boxer. Some absolutely FANTASTIC examples of imagery being shared!

One of my favourite texts to teach to S3. We did a great job today ranking the Birling family (+Gerald) from most to least annoying in the opening section of the play. Some fantastic justification on display and some very mixed opinions! @RosehillHS
First week of the summer term is behind us. Time to reset and refresh some core classroom expectations. S1 have been loving the visual reminders of what a fantastic lesson start looks like. No phones, personal reading books out and quiet focus on our reading. Great job S1!
Wednesday marked 1 full year of the @RosehillHS English and Media team (with Languages joining the family not longer after) being founded. What a year itās been!
If my HT sees this, I really did try with the school colours (ish) but sadly they donāt do Century Gothic as a font.
Put my half term to good use this week and started a Scots Language Masters. Very much looking forward to bringing my learning into curriculum development. Exciting times ahead.
Bit of numeracy across the curriculum today for S1. Theyāre working collaboratively to design new theme parks and then use their persuasive techniques to advertise, pitch and win an āinvestmentā for the best team creation/persuasive sales pitch. @RosehillHS
