VexGo kits arrived in time to try them out with 2nd gr. The engineering, teamwork, problem solving, & coding was so much fun! I am so grateful to @hsefoundation for funding this project. All groups had success! Can’t wait to expand the program next year! @MrsNolanSCE @VEXRobotics

Thanks to all our families who visited our 2nd Summer Library Event. It was a Blueypalooza complete with Keepy Uppy, Featherwand, Dance Mode, forts, playground time, and Bluey trivia. And we definitely played library and checked out books! @SCECougars

Thanks to the generous donation from SES’s Student Council book drive, we were able to create a preschool library for students at SCE! Thank you, @SoutheasternEl1! Our preschool students are going to love the new selections! @SCECougars

So grateful to work alongside a great mentor and friend for 7 years! She exemplifies the words honor and excellence and couldn’t be more deserving of recognition for all she has done for the SCE staff, students, and families. @SCECougars

Student Council painted our hand sanitizer stations to keep them fresh for next year and then we celebrated all their volunteering efforts this year. These leaders have been busy serving SCE students in classrooms and at school events. They impress us every day!!

Nearly 300 students read all 20 Young Hoosier Book Award nominees. This week they stepped into the voting booth to choose their favorite. We can’t wait to find out SCE and Indiana’s winning book! @ilfonline @SCECougars

What an honor to get to see @MrsBuennagelSCE’s class read their books! These authors had such enthusiasm - & capital letters, end marks, pictures that match the words, stayed on topic…so much to celebrate! And bravo to 4th grade book buddies who were awesome mentors & helpers.

Loved working with @MrsElmoreSCE and her class on an outside study of fall! The Leaf Thief w/Novel Effect, Leaf Man, time to: Explore, identify leaves, wonder about evergreens, text a naturalist for more info, meet a praying mantis, & create our own leaf man inspired picture!

3rd graders were invited to join me in my office for a cozy story time during their library visit. It was so much fun, we may have started a new tradition. The acoustics for @Novel_Effect were on point with the Bluetooth speaker.

I ❤️hearing students talk books: What they like & don’t like, some prefer short chapter books, some want long, some a series, scary, or funny. Nearly all readers love graphic novels. A library organized by genre (like a book store!) can help readers find something to try next.
