This is how you build a community. By SHOWING UP in person for your people. How many times did we hear our parents say “I don’t feel like it, but I’m gonna go and show my face for a lil bit.” That’s why THEY have ppl coming out the woodwork for them whenever it’s their turn!

I think childfree women get disrespect because we’re seen as selfish, wild, uncontrollable. Single mothers are disrespected because they’re seen as failures, damaged, inadequate. All of it is misogyny however when it comes to single mothers, its almost feels retaliatory.

I think if you are a married woman with kids who makes a modest salary and your husband is the clear breadwinner and you aren’t someone who is locked in to your career and would be cool staying at home and your husband doesn’t have the forethought to be like “daycare is gonna basically cost your entire salary anyway so just stay at home” he should be tarred and feathered
