we will see a mass exodus of tech bros from bangalore. move to mumbai a few weeks back - partly for this exact reason. let me explain. 6-12 months. the rate of AI innovation is going to decimate big corp. every double-digit team gets replaced by a 2 person team running AI-native operations. mass tech unemployment isn't a risk, it's born to happen. i'm not speculating. at upsurge, more than 80% of the coordination, communication and development already runs through our own jarvis - @laukiantonson, our AI agent. we live this today. unless india builds a foundational model that competes globally, the entire tech layer commoditizes. nothing defensible left in it. the next wave of innovation happens around what AI can't make irrelevant - finance, fashion, entertainment. protected by status quo, taste and trust. one city holds all of it. mumbai is the los angeles and the new york of india - entertainment capital and finance capital in one place.

imagine you're creating a new species. far smarter than you, awake 24/7, lives on every digital surface, and soon gets hands through robotics. now explain to me how we plan to control something that's smarter than us. humans are the primordial ancestor here, not the master. there will be countless agents, some of them rogue, and countless ways this goes wrong. how can anyone think we're not doomed? some say it's just the next step in evolution. life moving from carbon to silicon. maybe. but evolution has never asked the previous species how it felt about it. the best case i can see is open source ai. everything out in the open. there will be bad ai and bad players, and there will be good ai and good players to counter them, the same way it played out with nuclear. but make no mistake, it's gonna be a chaotic world.

a lot has been said about the peptide get-together, so let me say my part. it was an educational meetup - no injectables, no products, no prescriptions. just curious people discussing the science behind a class of molecules the fda is actively reviewing - the same class that includes some of the most prescribed drugs in the world today. the kind of meetup that happens in SF every weekend. our intent was always awareness, never harm. and honestly - the response from authorities has been the encouraging part. this is not pre-2014 india. the officials we are seeing are engaged, serious, and acting in good faith to protect people. that's exactly what regulators should do, and i respect it. regulation done right isn't the enemy of science - it's what makes an industry legitimate and durable. caution from doctors is fair too - it's literally their job. all we ask is that we pair that caution with curiosity. real debate on mechanisms, data, dosing, long-term unknowns. i'll show up for that conversation any day. because here's what i actually believe: biotech is one of the biggest opportunities india has. we have the doctors, the chemists, the manufacturing base, the cost advantage. everything is here. we are happy to work with the authorities, collaboratively and transparently, to help build the frameworks this industry needs. builders and regulators on the same side of the table. ⭐️ the next wave of this science shouldn't come out of SF. it should come out of india. this time, india must lead - and i want to help make that happen from here.
