Alex Garland is the true Lisan Al Gaib

Old school Fincher trailer, I love it

Just watched Wildwood with my kid and damn, this movie was amazing like some insane animation work by laika probably their best ever but it’s pretty fucking dark subject matter… They are stabbing each other on a battlefield, beheading.. blood everywhere and some really intense war at the end of the movie that’s insane. What got me the most invested was the villain Alexandra, her tragic backstory of her son and the film diving into how someone becomes when they lose a loved one and then trying to fix that problem and going through all those stages of grief is disturbing to watch in a movie about animation. Some of those psychological subjects I thought were worse than the actual bloody stuff which laika should be commended for not holding back on. The movie did have some long winded exposition and I think could have been paced better and have some deeper characters but overall it's a great film and shouldn't be slept on. 9/10

The Devils is one of the greatest films I've seen in my lifetime… I love how Russell was able to take the idea of religious paranoia and turned it into such an obscene piece of film about the corruptness of men and their desire for power. I loved the cinematography that was used throughout the film, those beautiful white rooms he put together contrast with the horrors being done in them was great. Oliver Reed is amazing in this film, I think he played Grandier so well that when the last act hits you feel sad for him. Russell also knew how to balance out all of the graphic imagery in his film without over doing it. When you see how precise his camera work was on this film you can tell he went over every shot which is probably one of my favorite things about The Devils, it's about how all these religious figures that stand for what's right in the world are doing terrible acts of cruelty and evil. It was heavily banned from most places which only goes to show how powerful this film was. 10 outta fucking 10. #Thedevils

Mmmmmm feels classic, I love it #Fincherisback
