I’m delighted to share that on May 14, 2026, I officially graduated during the 9th Graduation Ceremony of @RwandaPolytec from the Department of Veterinary Technology, specializing in Animal Health. This journey started in 2023 when I was admitted to @Huye_College in the Advanced Diploma program in Animal Health. It has not been an easy journey, but through dedication, perseverance, hard work, and determination, I was able to reach this important milestone. Throughout my studies, I gained both theoretical knowledge and practical skills that strengthened my passion for animal health and livestock production. My final year research focused on “Prevalence of Gastrointestinal Worms in Dairy Cattle distributed by RDDP in Huye District.” This study deepened my understanding of the challenges affecting cattle health and reinforced my commitment to contributing to improved animal welfare and productivity in the livestock sector. This achievement would not have been possible without the support, guidance, and encouragement of many people. I would like to sincerely thank my lecturers, supervisors, classmates, friends, and family for standing by me throughout this journey. Your support played a key role in shaping my success. Graduating in Animal Health is not just a personal achievement, but also a responsibility to continue serving communities by promoting animal health, livestock development, and sustainable agriculture. As I step into the next chapter of my career, I am excited for the opportunities ahead to make a meaningful impact in the veterinary and animal health field.

Yesterday marked another good milestone for Rwanda’s agriculture At Nemba site in @BugeseraDistr, farmers and seed multipliers had the opportunity to witness the potential of improved biotech cassava varieties during a “Seeing Is Believing” field event organized by @RwandaAgriBoard in partnership with @aatfafrica and @ScienceAlly_Rw. From promising yield potential and disease resistance to practical training in good agronomic practices and responsible seed stewardship, the event demonstrated how agricultural innovation can translate into opportunities for farmers. It was encouraging to see farmers express interest in adopting and multiplying these improved varieties. Special appreciation to @aatfafrica and @ScienceAlly_Rw for supporting @RwandaAgriBoard and investing in farmer knowledge, capacity building and agricultural innovation. A stronger agricultural future starts with empowering farmers and bringing science closer to the fields! #RwandaAgriculture #Biotechnology

I was pleased to participate yesterday in the “Seeing Is Believing” event at the Nemba site in @BugeseraDistrict, organized by @RwandaAgriBoard under the @RwandaBioCap programme, in partnership with @aatfafrica. The event brought together farmers and seed multipliers to witness the field performance and potential benefits of biotech cassava varieties. One of my key takeaways was the importance of responsible seed stewardship and good agronomic practices in ensuring the proper handling, management and multiplication of biotech cassava planting materials. These biotech cassava varieties also show potential for improved resilience to drought and changing climatic conditions, offering an opportunity to strengthen cassava production and enhance farmers' resilience to climate change. It is expected that @RwandaAgriBoard will distribute these varieties to seed farmer multipliers to facilitate their multiplication and wider dissemination, enabling more farmers to access and benefit from improved cassava planting materials. My sincere thanks to @ScienceAlly_Rw , @RwandaBioCap and @RwandaAgriBoard for this valuable learning opportunity and their continued commitment to advancing agricultural innovation in Rwanda.

RYAF Chairperson, @SakinaUsengima1, accompanied by RYAF CEO, Rwiririza. J.M. Vianney visited young agripreneurs showcasing their products and innovations at the ongoing 26th EAC MSMEs Trade Fair 2026, taking place in Kigali, Rwanda, from 30 October to 8 November 2026. Ms Usengimana also serves as the Regional Youth Representative and a Member of the Board and Council of the Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF), a role that connects her leadership in youth agribusiness with regional farmers' representation and engagement. Held under the theme “Advancing Regional Value Chains in Leather and Horticulture Sectors", the trade fair brings together Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from across the East African Community to showcase products, explore business opportunities and strengthen regional trade. During the visit, the RYAF delegation interacted with young exhibitors, learning about their businesses, products and experiences, including enterprises dealing in honey, poultry products and value-added foods. The engagement reflects RYAF's commitment to promoting youth-led enterprises, amplifying young entrepreneurs' voices and strengthening their access to business and market opportunities across the region. Young people are not just participants in agribusiness transformation; they are driving its future. #EACMSMEsTradeFair2026 #YouthinAg #RYAF

12 Science-Backed Benefits of Honey People Should Know: Honey has been valued for centuries as both a natural sweetener and a traditional remedy. Modern research supports several of its health benefits when consumed in moderation. 1. Rich in Antioxidants: Honey contains flavonoids and phenolic acids that help protect the body from oxidative stress and cell damage. 2. Natural Energy Booster: Its natural sugars (glucose and fructose) provide a quick and sustained source of energy, making it popular among athletes. 3. Soothes Coughs and Sore Throats: Research shows that honey can help reduce coughing and soothe sore throats, especially in children over one year old. 4. Supports Wound Healing Medical-grade honey has antibacterial properties and is widely used to promote the healing of burns and wounds. 5. May Improve Heart Health: The antioxidants in honey may help reduce blood pressure, improve cholesterol levels, and lower the risk of heart disease. 6. Contains Natural Antibacterial Properties: Honey naturally inhibits the growth of many harmful bacteria due to its low moisture, acidity, and hydrogen peroxide content. 7. Supports Digestive Health: Honey may promote the growth of beneficial gut bacteria and help relieve mild digestive discomfort. 8. Helps Reduce Inflammation: Its anti-inflammatory compounds may help reduce inflammation throughout the body. 9. Provides Essential Nutrients: Although present in small amounts, honey contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and enzymes that contribute to overall health. 10. May Strengthen the Immune System: Its antioxidants and antimicrobial compounds may support the body’s natural immune defenses. 11. May Help Improve Sleep: A small amount of honey before bedtime may help support melatonin production by promoting the release of insulin and tryptophan metabolism. 12. A Healthier Alternative to Refined Sugar When used in moderation, honey can be a more nutritious sweetener than refined sugar because it contains beneficial plant compounds. Use Honey Wisely Enjoy honey in moderation, as it is still high in natural sugars. Choose raw or minimally processed honey when possible for higher antioxidant content. Never give honey to infants under 12 months due to the risk of infant botulism. People with diabetes should consume honey carefully and monitor their blood sugar, as it still raises glucose levels. Remember: Honey is a nutritious natural food, but it is not a cure-all. A balanced diet and healthy lifestyle remain the foundation of good health.

This is how in Pakistan make free electricity by just using magnets
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This video claims to show free electricity from magnets, but such devices are impossible as they violate the law of conservation of energy (energy can't be created from nothing). RYAF Chairperson @SakinaUsengima1 participated in the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Committee on Agriculture, Tourism and Natural Resources’ oversight engagement on the CAADP commitment to allocate at least 10% of national budgets to agricultural development across EAC Partner States, held in Kigali, Rwanda. During the engagement, the chairperson presented RYAF’s perspective on youth engagement in Rwanda’s agribusiness transformation, highlighting progress made and the persistent challenges limiting young people’s participation in the sector. The presentation emphasised the need for increased investment in youth access to land, affordable and appropriate financing, market opportunities, modern infrastructure and skills development, alongside meaningful youth participation in agricultural policy and decision-making. RYAF underscored the importance of translating commitments into concrete actions that create decent jobs, strengthen youth-led agribusinesses and promote inclusive agricultural growth. Empowering young people in agribusiness is key to building a productive, resilient and sustainable agricultural sector. #RYAF #CAADP #YouthInAg
