Patient 1’s story: ‘I listened to cries of other quarantined patients’
It began without warning. I had travelled from a neighbouring country to Nairobi Hospital to check on a relative, who had been critically ill and needed specialised medical attention. He had travelled from the Democratic Republic of Congo through Uganda.
At the time, none of us understood the true nature or gravity of his condition. I walked into his hospital room out of love and concern, sitting by his bedside to offer comfort and silent prayers. #HealthyNation. Read more: zurl.co/KPdaT

For so long we had such terrible keepers, post-Onana trauma made a mid keeper feel like the second coming of De Gea but in reality the guy is such a poor shot-stopper.
I’ve reported on Ebola for over a decade (& health for over 20 yrs) so I’m not usually surprised to hear disparate theories about disease outbreaks. But recent posts by a number of Kenyan thought leaders have left me dumbfounded. Here’s Dr Wandia Njoya, a university lecturer:
Let's be clear: Ebola did not "spread" to Kenya. The US and Kenya governments BROUGHT Ebola to Kenya, the US out of racist contempt for Africans, and Kenya out of twisted desire to prove to massa that it can meet "international standards" of disease response, and out of its evil greed for US dollars.

HAPPY AFRICA DAY TO ALL OUR AFRICAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS!
63 years ago, our forefathers gathered right here in Addis Ababa and dared to dream of a free, united Africa, and that dream still burns bright.
Today, as the proud home of the African Union, Ethiopia stands shoulder to shoulder with every African nation in that same spirit of unity. The work is far from over. Let us move from words to action, from promises to progress.
Africa's greatest resource has always been her people, and together, WE RISE!

Yes, JICA supported the Nairobi Integrated Urban Development Master Plan (NIUPLAN) for Nairobi City County, finalized December 2014. It includes a dedicated Urban Drainage Improvement Plan (Sector IV) for large-scale stormwater management, river integration, flood mitigation, and capacity building to address runoff and pollution up to 2030 target.
Proposed during the 2012-2014 study. No single total implementation cost for the drainage component is detailed in public JICA reports (it's integrated); priority items like stormwater capacity development ~US$5M base (2014). Full rollout would need fresh feasibility. Updating to 2026 KES would factor Kenya inflation (~85% cumulative 2014-2026), roughly doubling base estimates in real terms.

🇰🇪 In 2024, a protest at Kenya’s legislature was ended by the gunfire of security forces.
To this day, those shooters’ faces have remained hidden.
But now, #BBCAfricaEye can expose the men who spilled blood on the grounds of Kenya’s parliament.

I dont know @KhalifKairo at all. Of course, I occasionally see him on X living on the fast lane. He has some small second-hand car business that lately got him into trouble. But it sad to see some lowlifes rejoicing at his misfortunes. Good people, all types of businesses face challenges and difficult times. And this young man is facing business challenges. Taking to court isn't how to treat young aspiring Kenyans trying to make money is difficult and hostile business environment. I'm willing to mediate between him and the complainant and resolve this matter amicable. I can help!
