JUST IN: the Ottoman empire limits the printing press in an attempt to keep the scribal and calligrapher class happy!
JUST IN: Bernie Sanders reiterates calls for a nationwide ban on new AI data centers, a pause on advanced AI development, & a ban on superintelligence.

Unpopular opinion, one I almost hate having: Muslims today shouldn’t repeat the Ottoman mistake with the printing press when it comes to AI. It’s here and it’s inevitable. We should learn to navigate it, adapt to it, and shape how it’s used rather than fall quickly behind.

🧵(1/8) We often picture the Prophet Muhammad strictly within 7th-century Arabia as a closed desert bubble in desert tribal context. In reality he wasn't from the isolated Bedouin class. He belonged to the enlightened sort-intellectuals open to foreign cultures, trade & new ideas

something SUPER interesting to note about the clementine homilies is that it claims that the people responsible for corrupting the Torah are the 70 men men with Moses, who would corrupt it after hearing Moses recite it. Interestingly, in our earliest tafsirs, many scholars took the opinion that 2:75, that is the group who used to listen to the word of god and alter it, are the same 70 man of Moses

Perennialist: “the quran says christians and jews can go to heaven you can marry them! Eat their food!!!” The Cold Reality: this is speaking about Christians and Jews who affirm Muhammad’s prophethood and base their core theology around the Quran. No nicene creed Christians who reject Muhammad (pbuh) are NOT going to heaven. The problem is no Christian or Jew like this exists today because modern Islam supersedes Christianity and Judaism and converts of those respective faith leave their Christian and Jewish identity behind when converting to Islam and follow the entire shariah of the Quran even though the Quran says no such thing and commands Jews and Christians to follow the Law of the Torah and the Gospel.

Yusuf (AS) ruled over pagan Egypt praise be to god. Abdul sayed is a gem so sad to see most Muslims lack hikmah and are trying to get umar ibn khataab(ra) 2.0 elected day one
I woke up and saw that Abdulrahman El-Sayed had won. For one of the few times in my life I actually cried from happiness. It’s not just that a Muslim American who stood up against our mindless support for an apartheid state and a genocidal war still won. It’s that so many Americans said no to the awful racism and bigotry stoked to unprecedented intensity by Republicans in Texas, Michigan and nationally.

I read/skimmed parts of it a few weeks ago, and can definitely recommend it. It is a book I'll reread in full eventually.

In this video i show how Professor Gabriel Reynolds Miscites his sources, blunders and forced a biased viewpoint onto the Quran to reinforce an idea that is abundantly false (the Quran being a product of mere oral culture) youtu.be/G2GS0paqEdA?si=Q9lY… Make sure you like, hype and share the video!^ Also if you wanna see a second part let me know in the comments where i can refute more supposed pauline intertexts in Quran and Hadith there are only so many left after this video

The @tpusafaith machine and its minions of anti-Muslim apologists lost miserably tonight. They can keep lying and saying Islam is failing. Tonight, their project suffered a major loss, One of the most successful election nights in history led in no small part by Muslim candidates
🧵 For the same reason IP fully shifted his decent YouTube channel into a grift post-October 7th and started making regular appearances with all the other famous anti-Muslim apologists for Turning Point USA, the most influential Christian Zionist lobby organizations in the U.S.

Then perhaps we should apply that same standard to your own Old Testament. If apparent contradictions cannot simply be harmonised away in the Qur'an, why should theological reinterpretation be permitted to rescue the Old Testament?
Since this guy decided to block me and misrepresent me, I’ll point out we did say in the review that we agreed Sinai said the Quran would be claiming to be an authority on how to interpret the previous scriptures. We’ve never denied that. The problem is that doesn’t mean the Quran is claiming to consciously edit the scriptures, or that parts of them are corrupted. But one cannot just reinterpret the Bible to fit with the Quran. There are clear contradictions, which is why modern Muslims have to pretend parts of our scriptures are corrupted. So the Islamic Dilemma stands. @JaiNDoC_RL @SCApologia
