Age standardised mortality rates from 1942 to the end of 2020 for England and Wales.
Note that the rate for 2020 is lower than the rate for 2008 and every year before 2008.

So I am seeing it happening, AI is being used to do work and some people are generating a lot of code purely through AI and it is all being waved through without proper review.
I had picked up a review today and found some concerning issues in one such submission but was told that someone else had waved it through before I was able to get it changed.
I don't think the future of vibe coding is a good one.
So @JohnHealey_MP, you told Zelensky about the insane and obscene amount of my tax you are going to give him before you told me via the official budget announcement?
I find that odious and extremely disrespectful!
Last night I was thinking back to when Labour were not in government in the UK over the past 15 years.
I may not remember it correctly but I got the impression that they always came across as the "be kind" party and the "nice guys" with the Tories being the "nasty party".
What also struck me was that overnight, as soon as they came into government, all of that "niceness" was instantly dropped and what we seem to be left with is just greed, tyranny and corruption from the Labour party.
I am not sure that it's important to determine whether Andy Burnham is worse than Keir Starmer, but it has become apparent that there appears to be something of the duper's delight in the character of Burnham - that is a taking pleasure in the conning of others.
So while Starmer appeared to primarily have the petty tyrant as his dominant dark character trait for Burhnam it appears to be the conman.
Heating not yet on but I did get out the fleece-lined joggers π₯Ά #cozy
History shows us that this is what happens as empires or civilisations fall, having problems and home and participating in military campaigns abroad.
Here's a thought - you know when you go to the supermarket and you're trying to figure out if a larger container of a product is cheaper per unit of measure than a smaller container, wouldn't it help us if supermarkets were asked to provide a label pointing out the item which is the best value per unit of measure?
Oh gawd, it's started... people on NextDoor complaining about how it's difficult to find covid test kits...
Macron upholding French tradition by cooperating with those who destroy his country just like PΓ©tain.
I like these cooler nights, I find it much easier to sleep in a cold room with two duvets than in a warm room with a single thin summer duvet.
Why is everyone in the media and politics pronouncing Holborn as "Holbern"?
The correct pronunciation is "Hoeburn"!
I know "it's not fake" but something about the Tesla flying car doesn't make sense to me.
I am no physicist, but to lift a car you need more than the car's weight in thrust and something about those thrusters makes me think that they don't have the power to do that.
Also the thrust needed to induce then arrest the angular momentum of the spin...
Perhaps it was made out of balsa.
Driving back from my weekly shop early this morning I was passed, on the A14, by a National Highways Traffic Officer in a Tesla.
I can barely believe that the National Highways are sinking money into electric cars - surely you want an ICE car for that sort of role as you never know where you will be required to drive to and how long you will need to be there for?
I await the responses from the EV evangelists telling me how ignorant I am...
OK, how many of you living below the latitude of Birmingham in the UK have not yet switched on the heating?
I'm still holding out, next week is going to be a bit of a test though...
There's a problem, specifically an ethical problem, with AI LLMs - the problem being one of intellectual theft. Large language models have scraped the Internet making use of all sorts of copyrighted material or intellectual property and made money from stealing this to serve up to us.
I am surprised at how little this is discussed.
It's no longer "the dog ate my homework" but rather "Russia did it".
Unless of course the dog is a Russki, far-right, black Labrador.
UK political parties:
Labour - hates the working person and anyone who labours for a living.
Conservatives - intent on destroying the cultural heritage of the island by bringing in unsustainable influence from outside the island via immigration.
Liberal Democrats - happy to help kill citizens via medically induced suicide, campaigning to overturn a democratic referendum result, had to be threatened with a court case before they stopped Dream Pharma from sending killing drugs to death row in the US, helped prosecute innocent postmaster some of who took their own lives.
Greens - WTF are they up to?
