We’ve had a lot of calls this weekend during the aftermath of Storm Austen - here’s a quick reminder of our key advice for if you find a live seal, cetacean or turtle in distress around our coast!
If you've spotted something suspicious around our harbours, small ports, marina or coast, help Border Force & their partners by calling the Coastal Crime Line, powered by the Crimestoppers Charity.
You can also report to a local NCI station on Ch 65

Top tips if you're visiting the beach 🏖️
Before planning your trip to the coast, remember our lifeguards' advice:
- Visit a lifeguarded beach
- Check the tide times before you head out
- Swim between the red and yellow flags
- If you do find yourself in trouble in the
water, Float to Live
- If you or someone else is in trouble, call 999 and ask for the coastguard
- Don't bring inflatables to the beach
