BREAKING: Media reports are omitting key details from Ammi Burke v. Arthur Cox case
The Labour Court has been hearing Ammi Burke’s unfair dismissal case against law firm Arthur Cox today and yesterday. The case was adjourned at 4pm today at the close of evidence from Arthur Cox’s witnesses. It will resume at a later date.
Ammi Burke conducted hours of cross examination over the two days. The Labour Court panel also asked multiple questions of the witnesses for Arthur Cox.
We notice that reports by various news outlets have largely omitted the questioning of Arthur Cox’s witnesses by Ammi Burke and the panel members and the significant matters which arose out of that questioning.
This includes the Irish Times and the Irish Examiner and news reporters Sean McCarthaigh and Ronan McGreevy.
This omission of key details is a very serious matter. The public are not hearing the full truth of this case. The media have a duty to be unbiased and impartial.
