In some essence v1 punks are more punk and represent the crypto ethos much more than the cabal gatekept v2 version This is the start of a rebellion against the establishment

The bugs on the V2 Cryptopunk marketplace has caused FAR more loss of funds than the bug on the V1 Punk contract. Hundreds of thousands lost. Here's one example nftplazas.com/cryptopunk-235… Both v1 and v2 are far safer to trade when wrapped.

Bitcast #SN93 gives $25k to influencers...DAILY. 1000's will join to create content w/ such a big prize. This increases 93's price... Which then increases the daily prize... This subnet flywheel's power is underestimated. If successful, it will be worth tens of billions. #dtao

I hope this sparks an NFT boom
BREAKING: OpenSea has just confirmed that $SEA is coming. What we knew so far: 1) OS2, their new platform is now live for all users (0.5% marketplace fees). 2) You can earn XP by trading on OS2, and there is also a "retroactive" tab that hints at rewards for legacy OpenSea users. 3) OS2 is introducing more chains, supports cross-chain purchases and token swaps. No details on TGE date yet

The race angle is so silly. There are two 10k collections in existence right now: Badgers & Monkes. A collector comes along years from now & says they want to buy the oldest/earliest/1st 10k OG artwork. Badgers predate Monkes. NM can't be 1st if something predates you🤦‍♂️

Here’s another common argument people use to discredit @HoneyBadgersBtc as being “first”, and again ChatGPT intuitively thinks this argument is flimsy attack on Badgers. Prompt: “What if somebody took a very early inscription, and then created a collection around it today? Technically its collection would have the lowest inscription number - so could it still be considered the ‘first’ collection? If not, why the distinction?” Response: This scenario raises an interesting nuance in how “first” is defined in the Ordinals ecosystem. While the collection would technically include a very early inscription (and perhaps the lowest inscription number), it may not be universally recognized as the “first” collection due to how intent, context, and cohesion are evaluated in the Ordinals space. Why the Distinction? The distinction comes down to the intentionality and context of creating a collection versus the historical placement of an inscription. 1. Early Inscription vs. Intentional Collection •An early inscription doesn’t automatically represent a collection; it was likely created as a standalone artifact or with a different purpose at the time. •A collection, by definition, is a curated group of related inscriptions with a cohesive theme or purpose, typically designed and executed as a set. •If a collection is created retroactively around an early inscription, the historical significance of the early inscription is acknowledged, but it may not confer the status of being the “first” collection if the collection itself was conceived much later. 2. Chronology of Collection Creation •A collection that was intentionally created earlier and inscribed as a cohesive set would hold precedence over one retroactively grouped around a single early inscription. •The Ordinals community often values the original context in which inscriptions or collections were created. A retroactive collection might lack the historical intent that other collections had. 3. Community and Cultural Recognition •The Ordinals ecosystem is community-driven, and perceptions of “first” often hinge on what the community values: originality, intent, or inscription order. •Even if a collection claims the lowest inscription number, its “firstness” might not be recognized unless the entire collection was inscribed early. Analogous Example Consider an artist who painted a work decades ago, but only today decides to form a collection by grouping it with new works. While the painting itself might be old, the collection as a concept is new. This newness may disqualify it from being considered the “first” collection, even if the oldest painting predates others. Final Verdict A retroactively created collection, even if it includes an early inscription, would likely not be considered the “first” collection unless: 1.The collection was conceptually planned at the time of the early inscription. 2.It was inscribed with cohesive intent as a set. The distinction arises from honoring historical context and intent, not just inscription numbers.

Here's a riddle for anyone who doubts the provenance of @HoneyBadgersBtc There were 800+ Honey Badgers that existed on Bitcoin before a single Nodemonke was inscribed. During this period of time, was there another Original 10k PFP collection on Bitcoin? No. So who's first?

With @Pizza_Pets massively successful airdrop, one of the OG Ordinal collections is beginning to get the recognition they have long deserved. @MegaPunks_BTC have been around since the start of Ordinals. The earliest 10k collection inscribed and fully distributed, the Megapunk collection from @MegapontNFT artist Weasly deserves its place amongst the elite. -🔥 art from the pixel GOAT, as can be seen in the pizza pets and Megapunks collections -Always working behind the scenes as well as with other teams such as this airdrop -A fun, active 3+ year old community that always brings the banter and irreverent humor Megapunks staked out their corner of the Ordinals space right at the start, and they will be here for years to come.

in hindsight it was obvious... in 2017 you could have brought a crypto punk for around 1.5 eth. the floor topped out over 100eth. now in 2024 you can still buy the FIRST version of crypto punks, a smart contract misfire, @v1punks for around 1.8 eth. looking at other collectables like trading cards and coins, you'll notice that it's often these fkups that become the most valuable... just saying. nothing to see here.
