This post is about the foundation of my long career in economic and community development and what I learned. Even as a child, I wanted to be an earner! My job at the Roma Baking Company helped me do that and more!

I started a blog on Substack about economic development and energy. Please look me up via the link below and stay tuned for analysis of NY EconDev, commentary on utility infrastructure & regulation and experiences from decades of experience in EconDev. open.substack.com/pub/joseph…
This column by Thomas Friedman should make every American worry about the present and future! #deterance

Okay! It’s been a couple days, but I have come to the conclusion that the new @googlehealth app is terrible! I will be shopping for a different fitness wearable! @FitbitSupport
One of my favorite writers is @seankirst! This column about Kevin Kane’s devotion to his brother Coley is what Memorial Day is all about!
Forty-two years after he designed the Korea-Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Syracuse, Kevin Kane - whose brother Coley died in Vietnam - returned with friends to wash it by hand. My column, with beautiful Mike Greenlar images: centralcurrent.org/sean-kirs…
And, @nationalgridus made substantial investments in economic development funding and efforts to make the site ready and promote its advantages to the corporate real estate and site selection decision makers. Thank you, @nationalgrid!
Congratulations to @MicronTech on breaking ground on its historic semiconductor campus in #CNY. Their historic multibillion dollar investment will bring thousands of jobs to the region.
Our role? We're delivering the infrastructure upgrades needed for this transformation, including expanding the Clay substation and building underground transmission lines to ensure Micron has the reliable energy required for advanced chip manufacturing.
This project isn’t just about chips. It’s about shaping the future of technology, strengthening U.S. supply chains, and driving innovation.
Very good scorecard, @NYPAenergy!
Through #ReChargeNY and other programs, new #econdev awards will continue to drive significant private investment across NY.
To date, NYPA programs have helped strengthen communities, grow local economies + support workplaces across NYS.

The grid is being rewritten by the pulse of #AI.
At #VERGE2025, our own Aaron Panzer led a conversation on how data centers soaring in size from 20 MW to 2 GW are forcing us to rethink reliability.

So obviously JJ Starling and Donnie Freeman are not supposed to be on the court together…
The people of @nationalgridus are what makes it a great company!
This wasn’t an average day on the job. When a car flipped over in Camillus, NY, our lineman Drew Bucktooth didn’t hesitate. He rushed to the scene and helped rescue the motorist before emergency crews arrived. Moments like this remind us that our team’s commitment to the community goes far beyond the power lines.
We’re honored to work alongside everyday heroes like him. 💙⚡
This website is terrible! I have reliable 5G wireless, but it will not load. 32degrees.com/collections/me…

My call with @HP had me on hold for more than 30 minutes. It was interrupted by another call, which I took. I am back on hold. It has been 10 minutes. #HPisterrible
I have been on hold with @HP for almost 30 minutes about their subscription plan for my HP All in One printer. This is terrible customer service.

My @fitbit has given me inaccurate readings since @Google took over. I fell asleep at 9:30 pm last night. This is my sleep timeline? Also, cannot change the settings for hourly movement. Had two calls with customer service, but no results. Do better Fitbit!

Josh Allen is MVP bc if you replace Josh with an average NFL QB the Bills win 3-5 games. If you replaced Lamar Jackson with an average NFL QB the Ravens are still in the playoffs.
.@danorlovsky7 explains why he voted for Josh Allen as the MVP and Lamar Jackson as the first-team All-Pro QB 👀
