Had the #Brexit referendum been mandatory it would have been annulled because of electoral fraud. xitter.gq/nickreeves9876/status/…
Had the Brexit referendum been mandatory it would have been annulled because of electoral fraud. Our political elite treated it as mandatory while exploiting the loophole of it being advisory. Mafia lawyers exploit legal loopholes, democratic governments must not. Brexit was the result of the worst abuses of democracy in modern British history, of which this legal loophole scam was just one. #BBB Brexit Betrays Britain

After years of arguing that #Brexit meant escaping EU rules, #BrexitBritain is now negotiating to align with them again to make trade easier, strengthen biosecurity and reconnect our food system with Europe. xitter.gq/lizwebstersbf/status/2…
πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί Britain aligning food standards with the EU again. The ridiculous β€œNot for EU” labels may soon disappear and πŸ‘‰ Britain can then begin to rebuild its food security πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί After years of arguing that Brexit meant escaping EU rules, Britain is now negotiating to align with them again to make trade easier, strengthen biosecurity and reconnect our food system with Europe. On 20 November, Britain and the EU are hoping to agree something genuinely significant. This could mean fewer physical border checks, the removal of costly veterinary export certificates and the beginning of dismantling the Brexit barriers we erected between ourselves and our largest, closest food market. The Government estimates the SPS deal could ultimately be worth up to Β£5.1 billion a year to the food and drink sector. Britain imports a substantial proportion of the food we eat. We cannot pretend our food system exists independently of Europe. And at a time of war, energy disruption, climate shocks and increasingly fragile global supply chains, putting barriers between Britain and the enormous food-producing region immediately beside us never made strategic sense. And EU alignment would mean Britain moving back towards European rules governing food safety, animal and plant health and imports from third countries. This matters when Britain has signed post-Brexit trade deals opening greater access to agricultural imports produced under different systems. Trade deals should not give anyone a legal right to sell unsafe food in Britain. But standards are only as good as the system that enforces them and since Brexit, we have had little control over imports.

Strong reflections from Sir John Major with The Independent observing that the losers from leaving the European Union are 'every wallet, every purse, and every balance sheet in #BrexitBritain,' adding, 'it has failed thus far and will continue to do so.' facebook.com/share/v/1Jn1Uw1…

'#Brexit has made us poorer, weaker and less secure' says recent chancellor of #BrexitBritain xitter.gq/lizwebstersbf/status/2…
πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί β€œThose of us who want to rejoin must now make the argument.” Rachel Reeves is no longer simply arguing for a better Brexit deal. She explicitly says: β€œI do believe Britain’s future lies in the European Union.” And: β€œBrexit has made us poorer, weaker and less secure.” She welcomes Andy Burnham’s leadership in reopening the debate and says supporters of re-entry must now demonstrate the tangible benefits and get the next steps right. The silence that has paralysed Westminster over Brexit has finally broken and polling shows support for rejoining the EU is a large growing majority. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί

Rachel Reeves has never hidden her criticism of #Brexit. What is new and politically significant is that a former chancellor and architect of Labour’s 2024 manifesto is now explicitly advocating #BrexitBritain’s return to the EU. xitter.gq/lizwebstersbf/status/2…

Back to the future in #BrexitBritain: β€˜the new geo-political landscape is a profoundly dangerous one, made more so by the isolation of #Brexit. But the flipside of that is a positive effect which might not have been so apparent but for Brexit.’ chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot…

Listen to this girl who was 16 when the #Brexit referendum happened. She’s right the vote was corrupt and we need another vote! xitter.gq/lizwebstersbf/status/2…

#Brexit was like walking out of your home for good on a warm, sunny day with no coat, no food and no supplies because you assumed the weather would never change. xitter.gq/lizwebstersbf/status/2…
Brexit was like walking out of your home for good on a warm, sunny day with no coat, no food and no supplies because you assumed the weather would never change. Then the storms came: Covid, Ukraine, Iran/Hormuz, climate extremes A decade later, Britain has discovered what happens when a country strips away its resilience. πŸ”₯ The IFS says the 2020s are on course to be the worst decade for household income growth since records began in 1950. Typical working-age household incomes are forecast to FALL by another Β£1,050 by 2028-29. Britain cannot rebate its way out of this. 🧡 1/2 πŸ‘‡
