Our Principal’s Book Club selection is Don’t Trust Fish! by Neil Sharpson. Through this shared campus wide read, students will practice making inferences, analyzing author’s purpose, and identify persuasive elements. Sure to be a hit! 📚

New stories=new words! We’re so excited about our NEW word wall in the library! Every time we discover a new vocabulary word in a story we share, it gets a spot on the wall. Watching our words and our readers grow is one of our favorite parts of reading together! 📖📝

Exploring informational text through this amazing story of Fire Chief the snapping turtle in, The True and Lucky Life of a Turtle. Students are learning diff ways authors share information. What an incredible story! 🐢

Our students were hooked by the true story of Inky the Octopus, an incredible real life escape artist! They loved discovering how nonfiction can be just as thrilling as fiction, and now they’re eager to dive into more narrative nonfiction reads.
