Private Place - an invitation , however that invitation can be withdrawn , that’s the law even if Kevin Turvey with the man bun and his mates don’t like it . Upsetting my regulars / customers . Sir Tim Gammon will let his managers use their discretion and put security on .
Calm down snowflake. They don’t want people in from a demo. Pubs do the same with left wing placards; and on match days near stadiums, with football colours. It’s not political and they have every right to refuse anyone they choose.

The worst tank of WW2 might be one that never fired a shot in battle. Britain built more than 1,700 of them anyway. It was called the Covenanter. In 1939, Britain knew war was coming and it was short on tanks. So the Army ordered a new cruiser tank and did something reckless to save time. It ordered the thing into production straight off the drawing board. No prototype first. No testing. Just build it. And the company chosen to design it wasn't even a tank maker. It was a railway company, the London, Midland and Scottish. On paper, the Covenanter looked fine. It was fast, around 30 miles per hour. It sat very low to the ground, which made it harder to hit. It carried the standard British 2-pounder gun of the time. Then they actually started building and testing it. The engine was in the back, like most tanks. But to keep the tank's profile low, the designers put the radiators up front, next to the driver. That meant the engine coolant had to be piped all the way through the crew compartment, front to back. The result was a tank that cooked its own crew. The fighting compartment got brutally hot. And the cooling system still couldn't keep the engine from overheating. Not in the desert. In Britain. The Covenanter overheated in the cool, damp English countryside. Engineers tried fix after fix. Modified radiators. New louvers. New marks of the tank. None of them truly solved it. It had other issues too. It was cramped. Its armor was thin. Its 2-pounder gun was already falling behind German tanks. And its cooling problems made it useless for North Africa, the one place Britain actually needed tanks in 1941 and 1942. So the Army made a decision. The Covenanter would never be sent into combat as a battle tank. And the factories kept building them. Britain was desperate to keep tank production lines running, keep workers trained, and keep units equipped with something, anything, to practice on. Over 1,700 Covenanters rolled out of the factories. They spent the war in Britain as training tanks, driving around Salisbury Plain while other tanks went to fight. A handful of Covenanters did eventually see action, but not as tanks. Some had their turrets removed and were converted into bridgelayers. A few of those were used in Burma and in Europe to help other vehicles cross gaps and ditches. The tank that couldn't fight ended up as a bridge so other tanks could. Plenty of WW2 tanks were outgunned, outarmored, or obsolete. The Italians had tankettes so small they were nearly useless. The Japanese had tanks with barely an inch of armor. But all of those at least went to war. Britain built an entire fleet of tanks, more than many countries had in their whole army, and decided they weren't good enough to send.

That’s nothing. My Cousin Poppy was BANNED from Wetherspoon’s just because her name might upset a pacifist. Either that or because she threw up over someone’s breakfast after her morning bottle of wine then demanded the free coffee refills she was due and stuck her mouth under the dispenser. Either way it’s woke gone mad.

Dear @IsabelOakeshott will you please clarify what lobbying and public opinion campaign you/Oakright offered to Lybia (via former MP Daniel Kawczynski who now works with you)? Why was that not registered under FIRS lobbying rules? Was any Reform MP doing anything linked to Lybia?

The rewriting of 2016 needs challenging. ❌ The referendum ballot did NOT ask: “Should Britain end freedom of movement?” It asked whether Britain should remain in or leave the EU. Nothing about leaving the Single Market. Nothing about the customs union. Nothing about ending free movement. And during the referendum prominent Brexit campaigners openly cited Norway and Switzerland as models for Britain outside the EU. 🇳🇴 Norway is in the Single Market and accepts free movement. The Leave coalition contained several completely different versions of Brexit. The public was never asked to choose between them. So it is simply not accurate to retrospectively turn 17.4 million Leave votes into 17.4 million votes specifically against free movement. That interpretation came afterwards. And if Britain is now deciding what relationship it wants with Europe, voters are perfectly entitled to decide again with the actual choices made explicit.

7⃣ Nigel Farage passionately defended the idea that we could be like Norway, a Single Market country, in 2016.

More Police involvement for Reform connections - anyone surprised
My previous post below ever more relevant: Home Office official response to @PrivateEyeNews revelation on @IsabelOakeshott running an unregistered UAE/UK foreign lobying entity is "refer matter to police", which is fine, or "Crimestoppers". But look who is behind Crimestoppers... Thanks @donmcgowan for an extra hand on this. @ShabanaMahmood 🤷‍♂️

The great idiot in the red cap has made the impossible possible. Republican former President George W. Bush is campaigning for a Democrat in Texas.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
George W. Bush has not campaigned for or endorsed Democrat James Talarico in Texas. His brother Neil Bush voted for Talarico and his daughter Barbara Bush donated to a supporting PAC. nytimes.com/2026/10/21/us/… bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

This is John Simpson's house. He works as a churchwarden. He told @rowenamason he bought a company with multi-million contracts of telecom infra in Iran just to wind it down. Don't be like John.
EXCL: Nigel Farage’s newest billionaire donor was in business with a powerful Iranian religious foundation under the authority of the country’s supreme leader, raising questions about his past dealings with the hardline republic. Hossein Ghandehari, also called Sasan, was little known in the UK until he pledged to give millions to Reform UK this summer and donated £50,000 to Farage to cover the cost of two passes for the Davos World Economic Forum. Cracking story from @rowenamason theguardian.com/politics/202…
