Everything about Noah was gentle and kind. He could be delivering the news of some godawful tragedy, but listening to his voice, you somehow believed there was still goodness in the world.
David Folkenflik@davidfolkenflikOct 18
Noah radiated decency; his keen insight informed what became NPR's original sound; his interest in places far from power enriched our understanding of the nation and its people. Lovely tribute from @scottdetrow npr.org/2026/10/18/nx-s1-555…

Noah Adams, longtime host of NPR's All Things Considered, has died

One of NPR's most gifted storytellers, his soft voice and vivid writing helped define the network's sound for a generation of Americans.

Never interviewed Serena! I'll look forward to doing so one of these days. You might want to check transcripts @npr before accusing journalists of "grotesque displays of sycophancy." All best --

Your interview with Serena Williams a few years back was one of the most grotesque displays of sycophancy toward a celebrity that i have ever seen or heard from any journalist. I can't say that i'll miss your self-importance and ideological bias.

Many of you have been tracking the Irkutsk lab situation over the last few days. I've been gathering facts and trying to understand what is happening before weighing in. Now that I have, I have to say — I'm concerned 🧵

Wow, massive loss for NPR, but happy for Mary Louise (she mentions in a LinkedIn post wanting to step away from the news cycle for a bit.) Always been one of my top fav reporters and interviewers.

Am so grateful for all that I’ve learned from Mary Louise over the years — one of the best interviewers in the business. (But also such a lovely human! I remember walking into her office for advice after I had two boys in the span of two years and was trying to figure out life!)

This is a loss — but she'll be a star whatever she does. I'm so glad we got to talk last year about THE OLIGARCH'S DAUGHTER. npr.org/2025/01/28/nx-s1-513…

'The Oligarch's Daughter' is a tale of spies and betrayal set amid extravagant luxury

NPR's Mary Louise Kelly speaks to author Joseph Finder about his new thriller novel The Oligarch's Daughter, a tale of a man on the run from an elusive and mysterious adversary.
