This type of thing just makes you think. If the School Board isn't willing to meet in a classroom because it's not safe, then why would we ask our Ts and Ss to risk their health. #COVID19 #TEACHers #distancelearning
Superintendent Pontrelli, you will be missed. Thank you for all the support you've shown to the students and staff at Stillwater!

Using Choice Eliminator add on for Google sheets can eliminate submissions of students who duplicate their entry in a Google form. That might help with that issue as well.

Love this! #MNCodes @NSpringerMath
Do any Ts or staff have a screenshot or list of what a Digital Learning Day assignment(s) looks like for your Ss? Looking primarily for HS but all levels would be interesting feedback as we move to replace snow days. I'd love to give some examples to committee.

Love this as a #noticewonder for exponential decay. Works just as well in #Algebra II as it did with middle schoolers. After discussion, reveal tallest doll 21.25 inches, smallest .12 inches, 51 total dolls. What’s the decay rate? #mtbos #iTeachMath

Same here. Late work is full credit. It's way more important that they learn the material than they learn it in my schedule. Life happens and gets in the way. Learning it after the fact has the same result as learning it right away.
It's all about mindset! I found myself thinking today, ugh I'm so sick of grading all these late assignments. Then I stopped to think...wait! I should be happy they are actually doing all that work and learning in the process at a minor inconvenience to myself!

We discussed some vertical and supplementary angles the next day. Talked about what measurements on the board must be inaccurate based on those properties. I also took some close up pics and will be using them to teach triangle sum theorem and interior angles of polygons.
