*Paladins Stream Team* After seeing the info come out about the Paladins Stream Team. I can’t help but not say something. The stream team is FILLED with some of the most fun and interesting characters this community has. For the causal side of the game, they were absolutely carrying in terms of content creation & information delivery. As an active participant, I saw countless people saying: “I’m new”, “I’m trying to play”, “what’s this new character” etc. Each creator had their own community that would all intertwine as the streamers passed the torch to the next. Discoverability is terrible on twitch, so this made it a great hub to meet so many great people. When HiRez cut the hours down, they shot themselves in the foot. From something that averaged around 250-300 views. Dropped all the way to 50-70. Meanwhile simultaneously not providing (GOOD) working drops. The decline was all on your end HiRez. If you had delivered bigger drops that required more watch time (Watch 4 hours for flair chest) people would have done it. If you think the bottom line is being that heavily affected by a few chests given out, you are insane. People who buy chests will always buy chests, people who won’t, just won’t. At least it boosted your presence on the main stage and for what? A couple of sprays, maybe a icon? If you’re lucky an average skin? Cutting the stream team before the contract was over, was easily one of the worst decisions you could make. I find it disgusting… through all the hard work of the creators, you couldn’t hold them till December. But like classic HiRez if the fix isn’t free, let’s just cut it. (Like Play of the game, Trails even some developers) I hope all the creators on the team break off to boost themselves into better places, the talent some of them have has arguably been held back. Now they are free to do and say what they want. I wish them nothing but the best. HiRez… Evil Mojo… I’m sure time is limited, and with the removal of so much, we all know where’s it’s heading. But know a lot of the decisions leading to this, was your fault, and are to blame. The game had so many moments where it could have been something, but was either delayed, or just scrapped entirely. I’ve enjoyed my years of playing, and the people I’ve met. So for me, I’ve gotten my time out of the game. I’ll continue to enjoy the community & the game till the final day.
