Carrollton recently gained national attention for its use of livestreaming technology during 911 emergency calls. Terry Goswick, Executive Director of @NTECC911, Carrollton's 911 dispatch center, shared with CBS National News how the Prepared 911 tool has been invaluable, allowing dispatchers to guide callers through critical procedures such as CPR until help arrives. This initiative is setting a new standard for emergency response nationwide. Over the past year, NTECC had more than 250 callers opt to livestream video using the Prepared 911 system during emergencies, improving communication and speeding up response times. cbsnews.com/video/911-video-…

#Didyouknow that 911 developed by @ATT AT&T picked 911 for 3 reasons: It was short, the number 9 was not used as an extension yet, and the company had already developed numbers like 411. #publicsafety #police #firefighters #carrolton #farmersbranch #addison #coppel
